Yes, brushing your teeth is more detrimental than helpful. I maybe wash my teeth 10 times in a year, 30 years of age and 0 problems or cavities.
It's not genetic since my other family members all had cavities at some point, but they brush their teeth daily.
Yes my teeth are yellow from years of smoking, yes my breath in the morning might kill a jeet but neither of those are my problem.
The only damage was self inflicted by biting on a bottle in a fit of rage and it only chipped a small corner of the lower incisor that plaque naturally restored anyway.

Correlation ( seemingly related events) and causation ( one event has been proven to cause the other event). Learn the difference. Why is it that people who wear underwear eventually become older? Not trying to imply that aging is a result of wearing undergarments but it really makes one wonder. Just asking the important questions here.

Most people don’t brush their teeth properly or don’t rinse frequently enough to prevent cavities. Others may brush but they may eat shitty sugary snacks in between. Brushing doesn’t cause cavities, shitty hygienic practices and snacking in between does.

Why haven't I gotten any cavity in 30 years if that's proven to cause cavities sherlock?

Cavities and the cure to it is the exact same as the cure for a shitty gut microbiome, because surprise surprise, their both caused by bad bacteria.

Lucky you. Always an exception to the rule. Doesn’t mean that it won’t kick you in the arse later but for now, count your blessings and take care of your teeth.

I’m blessed in the fact I don’t get tartar build up on my teeth so I don’t get lectured on coming in more often.

Basic maintenance of your teeth- learn to rinse after meals and snacks, avoid shit like carbonated drinks, sugary pastries, candy. If you must, rinse with water.

Cavities are the result of bacteria breaking down the sugars left in your mouth after eating. There are places where food gets trapped repeatedly so acids from the break down of sugars chews away at the enamel on your teeth. Also creates a rotten stench. Rinsing gets a lot of it out but brushing helps get the food particles in places that rinsing doesn’t reach.
