Based on my personal experience interacting with these individuals, the individual who chooses to undertake hormone replacement therapy with estrogen pills or injectables, loses all control of his reason and decision-making process once the exogenous hormones start to take effect. This person's need to put estrogen into his body becomes a compulsion not unlike an opiate addict. If they are not able to acquire legal prescriptions for estrogen drugs, they will order blackmarket products of questionable contents, travel to third world countries where such medicines are unregulated or pharmacies are known to sell blackmarket estrogen under the counter, or they will even cultivate plants from which they can refine estrogenic chemicals for their own consumption and sale. The conversation on transgenderism has been framed incorrectly by the media. What we should be asking is whether any of these "patients" are even capable of consuming these mind-altering drugs without become totally addicted zombies. The effects of these drugs may be too powerful for even the strongest willed individual to resist.
