Every day Taiwan slips further and further from china's grasp. Taiwan went from a no name island to a famous country everyone knows about. It's economy has exploded to becoming the most successful in east Asia and every year the United States sends more and more troops to be stationed in Taiwan. Xi either attacks now or (more likely) sits in the cuck chair watching Taiwan become independent more every day.

Taiwan went from holding a permanent seat at the UN Security Council to handling it over to China. It also went from being recognized by 70 countries at its peak to being recognized by only 12 states today, most of them being irrelevant micro-states. Their economic policies went from total embargo on China in 1949 to having China as its single largest most important trading partner. On the span of the last century Taiwan has completely and irreversibly lost the Mandate of Heaven and its only a matter of time before China welcomes it back as part of the People's Republic of China. China is an ancient civilization, they can wait. They waited for a century to have Hong Kong and Macau back. They can wait a few more decades to return Taiwan as well.
