I don't think the Democratic Party will exist in 5 years. It's currently being devoured at the grass roots and organizational level by the Democratic Socialists of America. Originally the party bosses and the donors had tolerated the DSA agitating and organizing because there wasn't they could do about it also because the DSA people brought the three Es, energy, enthusiasm and engagement. Once it might have been possible to stop these people from taking over the party, but that would likely have involved booting the squad after 2020 which few had the appetite for at the time. So the net result will be DSA take over, with some people like Fetterman jumping ship to go R or possibly independent but caucusing with the Republicans perhaps. On the other side we have a similar situation but in reverse, with certain factions most notably Tucker Carlson arguing it's time to flee the Republican party. This is less developed and still needs some time to really come into view. Tucker and the people around him represent perhaps 10-15% of the Republican party, so perhaps over the next decade they split off and form some kind of a National Conservative Party. It's possible after the election of '28 we have completely different party structure in the United States

This is just the left wing tea party. It will have its moment in the sun, then when it fails to deliver results it will shrink again
>>537972592I still like the white ones
>>537972634no it wont. The "tea party" of the 00s had a moment of attention because 20th century broadcast propaganda stille existedToday the 20th century advertising channels dont reach 10% of the relevant demographic
The guy to watch in the next few years to see if the DSA is gonna be able to pull this off is Torres (NY). His district is in the Bronx and he is under enormous pressure to soften his support for Israel. If he is successfully primaried next time around in '28 that's an ominous sign for the democratic party
>>537972634The tea party was an effective revolution within the republicans. It was a stronger political movement than ows.
>>537973392And now they have the attention of the algorithms. Media changes, but the pressure to move on to the next thing doesn't.
