I will never forget the best ac I ever had, went to a thrift store that sold appliances, I was broke and in college and asked for the cheapest AC window unit they had, $50 got me a Honeywell unit that must have been min 20 years old(this was in 00s), it was glorious. That older refrigerant is so much better and can do way lower temps than the new eco friendly stuff, it was like arctic air coming out of that thing. Wish I kept it!
