Bosniak leader, Alija Izetbegovic wrote a book "Islamic declaration", in which he advocated for ethnic cleansing of Christians (both Catholic and Orthodox) from Bosnia because "Christians cannot live alongside Muslims and claimed the only way for Muslims to have their own country is if they ethnically cleansed all the Christians". For this, he was jailed in Yugoslavia by Tito and considered a terrorist. This was before any of the wars. The leader of the Bosniak independence movement, their president, wrote an entire book called "Islamic declaration" in which he advocated for genocide of Christians, before any of the genocides took place. Muslims were sending Mujahideens to Bosnia to fight for Muslims. [1]Bosniaks committed a lot of genocides of the Christian population, during both the Yugoslav wars and the Ottoman period. The latter that was centuries long included the most brutal genocides and terrors inflicted upon the Catholic and Orthodox population.Bosnia itself was never majority Muslim until the late 20th century [2], and Bosniaks (Bosnian Muslims) lived in approximately 15-20% of the land, and still do, while Christians lived in the remaining amount, with Serbs living in about 60% of Bosnia, and Republika Srpska being 49% of Bosnia. [3].Bosnia is a dysfunctional mini-Yugoslavia that will not last, and that will see its Croatian and Serbian minorities secede in the near future.
