>>537989301I am not against the concept of allowing highly skilled immigration, and H1b was supposed to prevent companies from importing low skilled employees but corporations (and small businesses too) have abused the system and fraudulently used it on a mass scale to import cheap foreign labor which has a deleritous economic effect on the lower and middle class workers who would do those jobs, as well as second order effects on welfare systems etc.There is a simple fix to the H1b question. If a worker is truly high skilled you must pay them as such. To qualify for a H1b the worker must make enough to put them in the second highest Federal tax bracket (currently $256k/yr) the Federal rate is 35% at the 2nd highest bracket. The highest bracket is 37% (currently $640k/yr), and all H1b would require an additional 2% tax to take their Federal rate to 37%; those reaching the highest bracket would go up 5% to 42% nominal rate. H1bs would also be required to purchase a $2m privately issued surety bond policy for them and every family member.This would resolve every issue and align incentive structures correctly for a fair and honest system. The problem is that most corporations and most politicians dont want this, they both want to bring in cheap 3rd world niggers en masse for labor, votes, population, cannon fodder, etc there are a lot of reasons, but essentially they are slaves (or their importation theoretically creates an already born local slave). The idea that we need to import people from India to pay them $30k/yr to work at 7-11 or $100k to work at SHITDARTHA IT SERVICE INC SAAR.If employers truly believe that the us population doesnt have the required skills to work at their companies then they need to take a tiny portion of their billions in profits and create school curricula from Elementary school, to Highschool, to Community College, to Universities. They wont do that because its not a talent or skill issue its a cost savings measure.
