China does not want the US to get too indpendent from China. The relationship right now leans towards China so why would they want to give up their leverage.

Trump Admin should allow it under the strict condition that products containing the CXMT chips are sold for lower prices equal to the savings Apple got from switching to CXMT. Absolutely no buying cheap Chinese military chips then turning around and selling them full price to the American people while pocketing the difference.
>>
Its probably a good deal and give APPL leverage in their negotiation with the Feds over purchasing Intel silicon.

No one should be surprised since the PRC of pollution control is which window to throw the shit out of. Thus corps have fabs there and are partnered with the PRC and so have to share IP with them.

if the US govt did what they did to the automakers to Micron we certainly could. this isn't about national security as much as it's about increasing people in power's portfolios.

the day Micron announced they were killing off their consumer memory brand Crucial, I dumped $20k into their stock. easiest 30% gain ever.

or Apple could you know, just buy the RAM and also arm their employees, and instruct them to kill any federal agents working on behalf of a corrupt government?
How many employees does Apple have? 150,000? That's an army.
Too bad they are immature dickheads who think the point of life is hiding in their homes and going on vacation to tourist traps.

>>
>>537995882
normally i would recommend against buying single companies because its much riskier. it was just obvious in this case that company who are essentially selling the shovels to the AI boom were gonna be making money hand over fist.

Micron is the one US-based memory maker, otherwise I'd have also invested in Samsung/SK Hynix too. Nvidia is also a good one and I think Apple too, not just for the consumer devices but also their hardware for AI (M-series chips plus shared memory architecture is good for local models).

Western Digital is another good one, data centers need storage and lots of it. It has been getting so bad that they have been buying SSDs because the larger traditional "spinning rust" hard drives are hard to source now.

Considering the same wafers are used to make either flash memory (SSDs) or actual DRAM memory, this means SSD prices will also follow suit and they have.

I dumped 50k in a combination of Nvidia, Micron, and Western Digital once I saw where this was going at the end of last year. Some people will say its a bubble and will pop "just like the dot com era" but I don't think so. This technology is way to good, and even in the dot com era the smaller companies went bust not the big ones.

Even if somehow this entire AI thing collapsed or became suddenly much less computationally/memory expensive, people would need the components for other things like automotive, consumer electronics, appliances, etc. That's the thing about everything going "smart" now your kitchen stove needs RAM.

China is not a joke. There's plenty to criticize but honestly who are we to cast stones? We have our own issues and retarded shit. Not to mention we are the ones who have enabled China to grow exponentially from the 90s onwards.

If anything I think China has been quite a blessing. Look at your hobbyist maker stuff, none of that would be accessible anymore without China. Radio Shack closed down many years ago, how are you going to source basically anything you need? Microcenter took up the mantle, but those are far and few between for many people.

Nowadays you can buy a great 3D printer from one of the Chinese companies (Bambu), electronic parts, even full custom PCB fabrication with the option for pre-soldering parts on your BOM. If you need an enclosure they have resin, acrylic, and cnc shops too.

Any hobbyist DIY project that tried to do this domestically would take three times as long and cost ten times as much. It's not China's fault we gutted ourselves.

>pure silicon. Look it up, only one source known in the world and it exists in the Appalachias.
The Siemens process accounts for approximately 75-97% of global polysilicon production. China in particular is 80% of production.
The mine you're referring to is noteworthy because it produces High Purity Quartz in particular. The HPQ is used to forge the pure silicon into wafers. China is aware of their trade dependence on America for certain goods and has rapidly divorced from these.

China has its own Spruce Pine deposit that it's actualizing
>HPQ deposits discovered in Henan and Xinjiang
>35 Million metric tons
>99.995-99.998% purity
https://archive.is/5i4wt

China is also the leading producer of synthetic HPQ, and can ramp that production until scale brings the cost down. Since the primary cost is in energy and they're investing heavily in their grid and fission and fusion plants, this should be expected as a matter of course.

What does America make?

>>537996187
>ASML is a licensed American technology
ASML is a company name. EUV machines are made in China and the Netherlands. The technology is "American" in the sense that a Jew with US citizenship swung a chicken over his head and said magic words, so now someone owes him money to use them.

>>537996902
>$30 hr vs $10 hr labor
Chinese factories are automated. Chinese wages have higher PPP than American.

>>>537996941
>Not to mention we are the ones who have enabled China
China was the dominant economy on the globe for all of history except one century of humiliation. America didn't 'enable' China.

Wrong. It wasn't some jew. The US bankrolled EUV lithography research over decades. Japs almost got it too but bailed right before closing the deal.
>>
>>537998950
>You can't call it Jewish money tricks
>Beceause in reality it was people with US citizenship playing financial games but making no actual contribution to the engineering or science
>Therefore America could totally make their own EUV machine
So why doesn't America make a domestic EUV machine? Is it because America doesn't have the expertise required and did nothing beyond financial games?
>>
>>537999293
Much of the research was done by Americans. Regardless the EUV machines are being used at TSMC in Arizona as we speak.

Well, when is your government gonna grow some balls and stop being America's bitch? All semiconductor manufacturing equipment sales to China is declining at the same time their semiconductor industry is booming. Everyone who refused to sell tools to China is getting replaced. EUV will take more time compared to the other tools, but the writing is on the wall.

CXMT is gonna debut as China's most profitable company.

All the "we gotta beat China" rhetoric is pure BS corporations who only care about being able to hire slaves. If they were our adversary we'd embargo them incrementally until they collapsed. They have nothing we need, only things corporations want because they don't want to pay people who can exercise rights.

>inb4 muh rare earth metals
We can go without direct RE imports much longer than the Chinese economy can survive without exporting to the US. This would be a speedbump followed by regime change to a non-communist government and export resumption thereafter.

>>
>>537998542
>What does America make?
Actually quite a bit. Most of China's exports are either base/raw materials (rare earths, urea, etc.) and consumer plastic crap we can simply go without. Go on an industrial supply site like McMsater Carr and look where everything is made. Almost all "serious" or industrial grade commodities are manufactured in the US or its allies. Collapsing China's economy is flipping a switch, but the US govt won't do it because it's owned by corporate lobbyists who don't want to give up their slaves.

China is folding like the paper tiger it is right now with the current economic situation. Any claim otherwise is pure cope. Their manufacturing sector is in the absolute shitter as supply chains moved away from china. If the CCP never tried this dick-swinging wolf warrior diplomacy bullshit they wouldn't be getting fucked right now. But they had to act like the next superpower as our feckless and traitorous "leaders" led us down the path of managed decline. Trump fucked that all up for them.

I dont understand this sentiment.

The people of America make up the government and are cool with everything going on. Otherwise there would be revolts. But there is not.

I just got out from going out and we saw live jazz and had sphagetti. The music was profesionally done and consisted of tons of solos by talented artists.

None of this economy from China for fake goods has helped in anyway in my life. The free music, food and good times have been massively more beneficial then 1 TB of memory.
