Why don't nations like Kuwait and Bahrain, other gulf states attack Iran in retaliation for being bombed? I understand the U.S. is doing the heavy lifting there, but surely those guys have their own military forces, too, no? They should help out.

Those countries have an agreement with the US to be their de-facto army in exchange for buying US bonds as their principal investment and selling their oil in USD only.

If they go on full on attack on Iran, their previously slightly molested oil and gas production facilities might end up in receiving end of bit of missile and drone spam from Iranians. There is good chance that all that production capacity would go off line for years and their economies would implode.
