I know. But I'll be short. Consider it a PSA because "somehow" all the other AC threads neglect to mention this simple fact. The EU anti-AC sentiment has nothing to do with global warmign and everything to do with the EU not having the energy for everyone to run ACs. Make an educated guess why.ITT: EUfags, tell me if you or your friends experienced blackouts in the past few days, because my friends abroad did.
Many moons ago, the American electrical grid did not have the capacity to accommodate central cooling in every home. Do you know what we did about it? We built more grid capacity.
>>538003188It doesn’t now, if we have five consecutive days over 100F like Paris in a comparable city, the grid would break
>>538001755Yeah, the hysteria surrounding an ordinary summer in Europe in the context of this AC bullshit keeps getting steered in official channels to it being a righteous crusade against literally non-existent "man-made climate change." It leverages the fact that when people think of energy, they think more in terms of keeping warm when it's cold, so they're less inclined to think in terms of Europe simply running out of energy resources. I think that's a false assumption based on my own experience paying utility bills; it cost more to keep a house cool in summer than warm in winter.Europe screwed themselves; the former nations of Europe are on a suicide mission that offers no pecuniary, strategic or even mere moral benefit of any kind.
>>538001755Maybe if Germany didn't shit the bed when Fukashima happened from a freak incident, they'd still have nuclear power.
>>538001755>Sorry, yet another AC threadIt's fine, I'll just hide it like all the others.
>>538003506Europe has no energy. So is it a fucking surprise that a continent with no fucking oil and gas wants to go full renewables? It's a matter of national security.Europe has coal, but coal isn't enough. China is raping the west anyway because it uses coal, gas, nuclear AND electric to have the cheapest output. If Europe doesn't develop electric and nuclear and hyperspecialize in it, it will have nothing, only sucking off Russia and the US for energy. Europe is one step away from becoming the third world because of it. But Europe is also not a federation, it's a bunch of sovereign states with different languages and cultures.
>>538001755Absolute trvke, the EU is scrambling to retain power when it is obvious they have nothing to offer member states.
>>538003768>If I ignore all my nation's problems they will go away!Absolute ostrich behavior.
>>538004949Ignorance is bliss, soon FDVR will be developed and u won't need ur biological body anymore, so bye bye to having to eat, drink, defecate n pee, and.... needing to gaf about wether it's cold or hot.
