Specifically thallium and molybdenum, which are used in their wormhole drives. This is the real reason behind the US attempting to annex Greenland for it's rare earths. In exchange for accepting their governance they will also transfer technologies regarding medicine, communication and energy generation. However, nothing concerning weapons will be given. They say that is for our safety, not theirs. They have agreed to reactivate the Pyramids Complex, which they left behind 13,000 years ago. It is currently out of fuel and in need of repair. Once activated, it serves as the resonator array and projection system of a powerful laser. It will remain solely under their control. This is also part of the reason for securing the Red Sea.It is also unlikely for us to be in danger any time soon, as the Reptilians are currently trapped on the far side of the galaxy by a powerful telekinetic force field for at least the next 300 years.

There's no reason molybdenum would be "almost non-existent elsewhere", past iron there's a roughly linearly descending prevalence of heavier elements formed by neutron capture during shit like supernovae. It's not like they all have independent chances of being formed and molybdenum is some super rare dice roll
