Remember Crimea?

"As of this morning, the situation following Russian drone strikes is most critical in the Sumy region, which has the highest number of newly disconnected consumers. Outages have also been reported in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava regions. Emergency repair and restoration work is already underway wherever security conditions permit," the statement reads.

At the same time, electricity consumption has surged by 7.4% compared to the morning figures from the previous workday (Friday).

"The reason for this shift is the onset of hot weather across Ukraine, driving widespread use of air conditioning," Ukrenergo explained.

The company is urging citizens to schedule high-energy activities for the time when industrial solar power plants are operating most efficiently—between 10:00 and 16:00.

"Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances and be as economical as possible with electricity consumption during the evening hours—from 16:00 to 23:00. This is the period of peak load on the power grid during the heatwave," energy officials stated.
