I'm as Republican as they come. I voted for Trump since 2016 has I agreed with his hard line stance on stopping additional illegal immigration and building a wall. However, I don't believe that immigrants that have stayed out of trouble, held down jobs, and pay taxes should be suddenly criminalized and deported. This is too cruel and extreme and I do believe constitution is clear that any person born here regardless of their parents status at time are now U.S. citizens. I believe if SCOTUS rules in favor of retroactive BR citizenship, Republicans would be completely unelectable indefinitely.
