Probably a lot like Aus in that the enfield is our nugget, common and cheap as fuck, you can get an old enfield bush gun here for a couple of hundred bucks and with a cheap optic it's a "good enough" everyman's gun that can be had for a days work and used for a lifetime without fussing over it.

My local shop has an original 1917 sniper that they want big money for but that's an exception really.

And whilst it's rare that anyone ever really goes full bubba here, back in the day our boomers went all in and started a company called Australian International Arms and all they did was build rifles based on the enfield that took different mags etc, so if you wanted that sort of thing you could just buy it off the shelf instead of butchering one yourself.

It's very hard to find an un-fucked enfield in Canada, they're >$1500 in beater condition. The millions of sporter ones lying around can be had for like $400. Boomers went wild in the 60s/70s/80s. Not worth getting any of them due to ammo cost desu.
