We will eventually go back. This non stop online shit is destroying out connection to the universe and nature. There will be a renaissance of live music, theatre, movies and all arts because of this swing back from a dead age.
>>538070260Yes.Went from tech-optimists, wanting the latest tech because we were sure they'd improve our lives. To becoming tech-pessimists, believing the latest tech is probably going to reduce quality of life. People are looking for a better relationship with tech, so then they think back to a time when there was a good balance between life and tech, and they arrive at the early 2000's, just as you did. This is why "dumb phones" are making a comeback. I got rid of my "smart phone" last year and use a home-phone now. This return will happen, I agree.
Glad other people are coming to this conclusion.Tech should be a life enhancer, not a life replacer, we should voluntarily limit our own use of it, while also making the tech better.Truly good technology means you don't have to use it all the time, maximum effectiveness with lowest usage.Even the Amish have tech they just don't rely on it for everything.
>>538070260Everything will even out and we will get a nice harmony of both
How are you all so optimistic that we will eventually go backI've been waiting for the luddite anti-cellphone anti-social media to catch on for 15 years now but the youth are still inside all day and not socializing
>>538071036Because many are already realizing that living online is boring and meaningless. There will be a balancing act of technology to where we only use it for necessity. It’s literally just a need to experience something beyond this current state of boring ass techno overload. Nobody is getting any satisfaction out of this level of technology so we will revert to a better day when a guitar through am amplifier was all we needed.
>>538071036Sadly I think that's more a product of the current society rather than technology, although technology does play a small role, more like a crutch because our societal legs arent working.Where are the malls? Where are the events? Everyone is too uptight and moralizing endlessly, that trend also must be reversed. We should have the freedom to be cringe and to make mistakes.
>>538071517> Where are the malls? Where are the events? Everyone is too uptight and moralizing endlessly, that trend also must be reversed.Bro I’m telling you. And wink wink, invest on this understanding. People need people. We don’t need PFPs and usernames. Im guaranteeing a reversion from tech. This is the future.
Phone/Tech addiction will become the nee thing and young people will realize this. We will move back from this internet and social media nonsense in the next decade. Mark my words..
>>538071814I miss going to Walmart at midnight on a Tuesday and picking up a new battle pack for $20 because blizzard banned my ass again.I was a tiny god.
>>538071923Exactly. They have made it so we never have to leave home and thats what zoomers are going to eventually crave.
>>538071036It won't be a luddite buddies reunion. You are going to see a sort of renewable, sustainable solar punk farm culture and an urban density increase.
>>538070260>There will be a renaissance of liveanon, there are brown people literally everywhere. The internet is also full of brown people but at least we don't have to see or smell them here for the most part
>>538072385Retrofuturist farmpunk, i call it Sneedpunk.
>>538072576I’m totally for real on this happening. Zoomies and whatever the next generation will realize technology is making things worse and will crave a better day where they can actually go outside and interact. This is the way.
>>538070260 >6 pbtidGlobal debt market will collapse long prior.
>>538070260A lot of dumb coping old retards itt. Tech is awesome and has made life better for everyone including your unappreciative asses. Life before the internet wasn't even worth living. Be thankful you got to live through the past 30 years and whatever comes next.
>>538070260This should happen but it won’t because it’s not profitable
>>538070260>We will eventually go backWishful thinking, we're done.>There will be a renaissance of live musicNothing wrong with electronic music either, raves and festivals are peak human experience, and I'd love nothing more than to see you proven right but the world will get crushed, there's just too much money and power invested in the absolute worst, most insane, greediest psychopaths humanity has ever produced, all concentrated in Silicon Valley, and then there's the Shenzhen cargo cult of SV copying everything they do and trying to one-up literally every single fart that comes out of San Francisco. We had one chance at a renaissance and blew it by allowing 10 year olds to carry smartphones so China could hook them on demoralizing brainrot and Chinese state media in disguise for the next few generations, that was literally the last window to act and Europe did nothing while the US opted to legitimize it so they could also continue piping Fakebook and Zuckergram straight to kids eyeballs to keep their trillions of ad money circulating for a few more years.Even banning social media for under 16 now is too late, all this parasitic fake tech can no longer be extricated and that was before the world decided to give Silicon Valley and China literally all their money to get AI to speed up these processes even more so Gen Alpha will have it even worse than Gen Z and so on.Millenials were the last generation to put up a fight at least, even if a majority of them made the mistake of choosing fakebook likes and ads over reality and survival, and TPTB still decided nuke our financials and even wage bio-war against us for even merely suggesting to delete fakebook.
