>Video about Italian-Americans on TikTok/instagram/facebook/youtube
>Completely insular subject matter about food, lifestyle, accent, dialect, or East Coast traditions
>Brown person or Slavic glory with 0 connection to Italy or Italians makes a comment saying “they aren’t real Italians” and just has a weirdly smug, condescending, coping, and seething attitude about italian-Americans in-general
>Underneath the comment are a bunch of Slavs, Indians/South Asians, Mexicans, and Muslims as well as people with English and Irish surnames agreeing with it and giving it likes

Why is it like this? Has superiority caused some global envy of the

The one sentence dismissive replies in every thread are bots right?
Why go through the trouble of posting a comment and only write have a sentence but make sure it's all perfect grammar, spelling, punctuation and all that.

Like you really didn't have one more sentence at least? All 4 people before me? Is typing that hard? I can write like 30 or 40 wpm on a phone keyboard so I just don't see these constant negative one sentence posts being real people.

for what its worth i think its cringe that europeans always come screaming "youre not a (my nationality) you stupid american!!!". like obviously being american finnish isnt the same as being a finnish finn, but its still an expression of finnishness abroad. theyre not the same as me but i regard them as cousins and if they want to celebrate their heritate then go for it.

Ooh this is something I actually wanted to talk about with anyone

Italians don't care if you are diaspora, they're indifferent and don't call you fake but call you cousins, and are happy if you move to Italy and speak Italian. They didn't like the south americans using it to get to Spain or another country, and they didn't like the people asking for an address to use to apply, which is moot point because this has ended.

Italian Americans themselves are just embracing what was passed down to them at a time their families made a decision to try for a better life and were treated poorly upon arrival. It's bit wrong to honor the people who changed your entire projectory of life and gave you the dna. Diaspora and Italians have the same history.

It's everyone else seething about this because for them Italy is Disneyland and they want the stereotypes to entertain them. Since diaspora (and most Italians actually) aren't walking stereotypes it breaks their fantasy. They also envy Italians and wish they were Italians so diaspora getting to that because it is their right and blood makes them mad they cannot do the same.

Look up every video and meme about Italians and Italy. Look up songs about Italy. Look how people talk about going to Italy or dating Italians. They don't respect them at all. To them it's like Disney adults going to see Mickey Mouse.

Bot to mention browns all want to be white. And all whites want to be "ethnic" (everyone is ethnic but white ethnic isn't cool anymore says jews so they hate themselves)

Italians are the only ones living the best of both worlds.

Never listen to anyone seething about this because they're demented.
