The workers would be much happier with a 6 or 7 day work week. 2 days off is too much deconditioning from the work routine and allows too much time engage in vices.
This is never more apparent then when they come back from a 3 day weekend. They are much more worn out, dreary, and often drag themselves around with an abysmally defeated demeanor despite the extra day of "rest."
6 days is maybe the sweet spot, but they could easily handle 7, and probably be better off for it. Routine is king and that day off may just cause them maladjustment.
