there was a film in 1915 called birth of a nation.
it covered the massive crime wave by freed niggers in the post civil war south, which was the reason for kkk and the jim crow laws. the kkk was a vigilante organization because yankee military governors didn't do shit when niggers were murdering white families. once reconstruction ended, southern whites restored order thru jim crow laws
