Picrel, fellow yuroopors will literally do anything instead of getting a proper AC, kek.
>>
I have mine routed into the home ventilation system so the heat goes into my kid's rooms while I fuck their mom in our ice cool bedroom.

Sooooo you pull air in the machine, heat it, and dump it outside? Where do yurofags think the fresh air comes from?
Is this how we save the planet? Thermodynamically inefficient garbage?
>>
>>538154663
The problem with these air conditioners with one exhaust pipe is that they create a negative pressure in the room and then hot air from outside comes in through the gaps in the doors and windows.

But yea, literally anything instead of a proper AC.
>>
>>538155383
this, just do the AC and be done with. Im so happy that Im living in poland, instead of some auth-liberal hellscape
>>
>>538154327
won't this also corrode the stovepipe, potentially killing everyone the next time they make a fire in it?
>>538154663
i have natural draft appliances with no makeup air save for what comes through the cracks. in winter i start feeling cold to the point that i start shaking and simply can't get warm even if the temp is high. i go and open a window and woosh all the sudden it feels warm and the shaking stops.
the roof vented stack also acts like a venturi when the wind blows over it.
a depressurized house sucks
>>
>>538155555
Most pee9ple here(50-60ish%) have AC. Thatbpic was posted on r/Slovenia today

That is AC though

That's surprisingly smart for a slav.
Does the unit produce enough pressure to actually blow air out the chimney without throttling?

it doesn’t heat the air, it transfers the heat from some of the air. the cool air is returned to the room, and the waste heat is vented >>538155383 is right though, there’s a reason condensers are outside with a standard HVAC unit

look at me I am so smart. he is an actual retard that making it worse to vent through stove. stove is getting hotter and keeps most of the heat. retard never took a basic thermo dynamics course obviously or have any common sense.

You know split ACs dont exchange air? Coolent is transferred from the exterior unit to the interior

I remember you frogbro.

Your Mrs drew the cock and balls on your little AC unit.
>>
>>538154327
The best experience for those units is to put them on the balcony and move the tube to the cold air exhaust. You get fresh cold air.
>>
>>538161647
They're only slightly less expensive than a similar sized mini split. They really shouldn't exist.
>>
>>538155383
this. had one of those in shitty ass office. People had to move from opposite walls because it sucked in the heat
>>
>>538161591
correct - i did the pretty eyes tho
>>
>>538161699
they exist because some places have retarded regulations
>inb4 muh freedom
your HOA tells you how tall your grass can be
>>
>>538162219
It's exceedingly easy to hide the outside unit if needed, they're not big at all.

I would also never live in an HOA, my house is in an older neighborhood. There's a boat and a converted bus parked in my back yard atm.
>>
>>538162351
>It's exceedingly easy to hide the outside unit if needed, they're not big at all.
now try that in a balcony or external wall of an apartment building lol
I'm not talking houses, you can do whatever the fuck you want in a house

>Thames has the color of shit, basically Ganges

>>
>>538162461
On a balcony I would simply put the condenser under a small table with a mesh fabric to hide it and still allow airflow. Then all you need is a masonry hole saw, I think mine was 1.25".

12k BTU units can be wired to a standard wall outlet
>>
>>538162717
Or alternatively just run your high/low pressure lines through an open window, make a thing that has the window sit slightly ajar with holes drilled in it to let the lines pass through.
>>
>>538162351
try hiding the hole in the wall and elevation from the building administration as well
>>
>>538156902
It probably works fine enough. Better than the retards that don't hook up a hose at all.
>>
>>538162798
See >>538162771 if you're worried about losing your security deposit

If you don't drill a hole in the wall it'd be no different than having a bike on your balcony when you shouldn't
>>
>>538162798
this
those faggots will literally find out you have an active fan in a chute that's supposed to be "natural airflow only" and tell you to remove it
also neighbors can and will snitch
tl,dr: hell is other people
>>
>>538162717
>wired
you mean pluged in
>>
>>538162898
you can't drill holes anywhere at all
at best you can keep the window ajar to let the pipes through but that's only if you actually have a balcony to keep the outside unit on, which is kinda rare
most living spaces in Europe CANNOT have normal AC, portable is the only option
>>
>>538163106
They don't come with a plug from the factory, you'd have to wire it to a plug or just go straight to the wall or breaker
>>
>>538163247
I checked
the burger is accidentally right about the balcony
if you have one, you can install a mini split without asking
but if you don't have a balcony, you need 99 permits and inspections
>>
>>538163106
splits are wired directly into the nearest electrical box in the wall
they don't have a cord and plug
>>
>>538163420
maybe you are a hillbilly mutt electrical dabbler. a normal human would install a male plug on the AC and a receptacle on the wall.
Weird that mutts have ACs made for 15 amp circuits that don't come with standard wall plugs.
>>
>>538154327
White liberals talking about mug green utopia deserve to die in oven. I bought AC unit years ago and dont sweat anymore at my home. At my bachelor nursing job at neurosurgery we have AC as well thanks to me. I told my boss i want AC unit or i quit. Good luck finding someone else with my specialization working for lowly pay. I can undwrstand working for lowly pay in our european commie/socialist healthcare system but working without AC unit was my tipping point. I literally didnt care about cooking patients on beds since im not paid that much but my health is always priority before being good wagie slave. Its enough im wagie slave already but being good wagie slave is worse.
>>
>>538156902
The portable ac confuses the spic.
>>
>>538156705
Yeah but in high temperature the chimney gets clogged by hot air.
Many people die in the summer by CO poisonong becouse of this.
>>
>>538158776
>How do you think a fullsize/normal AC works? Lmao
Your reply doesn't indicate you understand the issue. I found an image which may explain it if you're capable of understanding. The claim at the top that the two hose design may cool a room 50% faster (using the same amount of power) may actually be true.

The image is for portable units. Central air and mini-splits have the compressor outside so it's cooled with outside air avoiding the same issue as portable air cooling units.

>>
>>538163581
> a normal human would install a male plug on the AC

That's what I'm suggesting lol

On my camper I went straight to a dedicated 20A breaker, but a wall plug would probably work fine as well.
>>
>>538154327
You know that would work though.
>>
>>538164178
Male plug sticking out of wall.
That sounds dangerous.
>>
>>538155383
i've seen many videos to mod the ac to make it 2 pipes
you can build an enclosure around the air intake of the ac and connect to a pipe going outside
>>
>>538164146
window should not be crushing the exhaust pipe. pipe outlet should be the same diameter all the way through.

Male plug into a wall lmao

From the factory, mini splits are bare wires. Connect them to pic rel, then plug this into a wall as you would a lamp
>>
>>538164433
Valid point if it's actually crushing the hose, but I think the window is actually crushing the hose. The hoses appear to be fitted to "pass-throughs" designed to fit in the window opening. Perhaps the pass-throughs should be a bit larger.

To your point, ideally you want the cross-sectional area of the rectangular pass-through to be close to if not the same as the circular pipe. You can see the rectangular pass-throughs better in this image on the right side. Maybe they could be a little larger too but maybe they are large enough, I don't have enough information on the air flow rate or other details.

>>
>>538155383
Nonsense.

They are less efficient as in adding +3 euro to the power bill because of the reasons you mentioned otherwise they cool perfectly fine. I'll argue they are better than the wall units because there's no drilling involved and the inevitable maintenance won't require spiderman's assistance.
