FDR was given significant powers during his presidency and a 16-year term in the name of “Pulling America out of the great depression”
If the Supreme Court cannot act in the national security interests of this nation and Congress can’t pass an act that 80% of Americans want to see enacted, then Donald Trump should become a dictator and do what’s right to keep America going.
President Xi has no Congress or Supreme Court he must work with.
Why should Trump?

If he wanted to seize power, he could easily. I don’t know exactly what percentage of people he needs but it’s far less than he’d get if he put out the call.
