Why shouldn't Black Americans despise White Americans?Even in WW2 they couldn't fight together with other Americans as equal citizens and were forcibly segregated and subject to mockery and disdain. They were enslaved until 1865, then freed instantly with no plan to educate them to integrate them into society, as such they practically remained slaves in all but name, as servants and exploited farmhands but this time it wasn't slavery it was "capitalism." And it was only 60 years ago (!) that they fully acquired equal rights. They have NOTHING to be thankful for, these innocent people were treated like shit for so long and now it's all supposed to be nice and peachy?

I wonder what it was like being deployed in Europe as a Black American in WW2. With White Americans many of them had recent familial ties to the nations they were fighting in, it felt like home to them while with Black Americans they had neither blood nor familial ties but they were raised in a European influenced society.
