Housing is unaffordable. It's official.
>See plot of land for $50k
>See trailer for $100k
>Assume it will be about $200k to hook up
>Apply for FHA loan
>Get approved for above it
>Contractor looks at property ($300)
>Water will be about $5000 to hook up
>Electric is $15,000
>Septic is $15,000
>You also need a water meter !
($5,000)
>Permits, fees, taxes, ($variable)
I live in one of the cheapest states in the union and just putting a trailer on some dirt costs $250k in rural America.

Sounds like you lie so you could live with your mom
>>
Sounds like you can shit in a hole for $50k, get water jugs delivered for drinking and tell them all to suck your dick for much less.
>>
>>538194881
Home ownership is now for the 1%. Oh say can you see?
>>
>>538194881
>Water will be about $5000 to hook up

Drill a well. Don't spend 15k hooking up to the utility, build a power room with a solar array. Use gas to power your fridge/water heater.
>>
>>538194881
yeah. everything is a scam. you can't just buy a plot of land and move onto it without spending an assload of money to make it "official". even if you buy a plot of land, you need to *build* something on it in order to actually use it as an address. simply camping on it or sleeping on it does not count.

Weird migger cope. It's artificial scarcity and commodification. You should be blaming the financial system. The government can solve the housing problem whenever it feels like.
>>
>>538194881
I live 100% off grid in rural America. Stop the cap fag. Solar costs about 55 cents per watt and a 100AH lithium battery costs $150 online. For 5 grand you can get enough off grid power and battery to last 20 years without a power bill and still have a playstation running 24/7.

Water catchment cisterns cost $1 a gallon at Lowes. A 3000 gallon cistern plus gutters will cost you like $3500, never pay another water bill again. Let's call it $4000 total for a state of the art RO water filter.

Septic tank for one guy is about 1000 dollars, a family of 3 is about 2000 plus install let's round up to 4000 less than 1/3rd what you claim.

So that's $13,000 all in for water, power, sewer and you never get a bill, ever. $100,000 for a trailer is a scam. I live in real rural America where there are no permits, no fees, just do what you want. Get on my level OP, ya fag.

An aerobic sewer is actually a little pricey if you want something nice that will last a long time, but it's well worth it.

$250k isn't the fucked part, the fucked part is when you look up the historical prices and that same exact trailer was like $49k 15 years ago.

>Contractor looks at property ($300)
Lol, you're gonna get fucked, but you probably need a licensed contractor because you have a loan. If you were doing this shit yourself it wouldn't cost near that much. Have you even called the utility companies to get a price, or are you just going by what this contractor says? $5,000 sounds like a lot for a water meter, and $15,000 sounds fucking retarded for electric hookup to a trailer. Don't those things come with a meter box and a weather head? Are they having to put in poles?

Don't take a fucking contractors word for this shit. Only 30-50% or less of what he quoted you is the actual cost. See how much of this you can do yourself.

T. Retired contractor.

Yes, it's super comfy and I can see more stars than you could imagine. This last week I saw about 5 deer on the roads and two on my property alone. I go months at a time with out seeing a nigger or a jeet or a spic. Just white people for as far as the eye can see.

Do you do anything to winterize your water system?

Sorry I should have clarified that an aerobic sewer is much more advanced than just digging a hole and putting a septic tank in it

$400k is about the average I'm seeing for a decent, good-condition home in the upper midwest right now. Feel that's pretty reasonable for a couple of folks making $60-70k, or just one neet being smart about working while living with their parents.

Someone come buy this then come over to be my hikki homeowner cheesehead neighbor, I'll make wings and buy a marco's pizza and we'll drink Modelo and play Four Swords Adventures on a CRT and it'll only be a LITTLE gay, just a tiny bit

No I am poor and have low water needs in the winter. The largest water tank I have is 300 gallons and many 55 gallon drums. When it's like 7 degrees and snowing a week or two in a row I've had the 55 gallon drum freeze solid but anything in a 1000+ gallon black cistern is unlikely to freeze solid. But that is completely dependent on your local winter. Here we only get winter storms and can have a nice sunny 50-60 degree day in December. But a simple water pump that keeps the water moving or similar low power solution should work well. Solar power of course dips in winter due to shorter days and poor angle of the sun so you have to plan and learn to not waste power or water. But I run on a bare bones system of power and water for many reasons but I'm working hard to increase both power and water output this year. I use most of my water in the summer on my garden.

King George over here, needs a royal grade hole to hold his shit. KEK, what a retard. My state legally lets you own and operate a human poop lagoon. Fuck off with your space age shit box.
>installing an anaerobic (conventional) septic system typically costs between $3,000 and $8,000, covering both the tank and the drainfield. If you are only replacing or purchasing the septic tank itself, prices range from $250 to $900 depending on the tank's material and capacity

I'm going to finish off a lot of projects this year and starting next year pay double on my land as I couldn't buy the 10 acres for cash, yes I know i'm a poorfag. But starting 2027 I'm making double payments and should have zero housing payments and own my home and land out right in another 5 years? So from nothing to a thriving paid off homestead in 10-12 years. No power bills, no water bills, no sewer bills. The closest town to me where I get supplies has 2000 people and every year gets a power bill increase. This year their power bills will increase over 4 %, last year it was 11% increase.

If I were single i’d be the same way.

A fucking shed with a shit ton of solar and a shed to shit in.
Even designed my own water tower with pump. 55gallon tank with float connected to pump connected to main water tank to keep you getting water pressure.

Sorry I ran out of characters. I just got Starlink so you can do online jobs easy. I got Roam plan since my address is legit off grid and Starlink won't give me the residential plan. But the Roam dish is really low power. It uses like 15 watts of power, basically nothing and a small fraction of what residential is. I pay $55 a month for 100GB but this month I went over and the "throttling" didn't even kick in. For $160 a month you get unlimited high speed high priority Starlink. You can video call, remote work, do whatever online, stream your naked body for Reddit Gold. Otherwise you can work a shit retail job, be a car mechanic, with enough land grow food and animals for profits, or some people legit drive 45 minutes to the closest decent sized city. But where I live if you're willing to drive 90 minutes round trip per day for work you can get any job you want.
>>
I watched a video of someone doing that much cheaper in rural Oklahoma.

All of this is from Jews and people in general thinking their labor is worth more than it is. It's not. Simple as.

The sad thing is no matter how much you do yourself, there's always some sucker, usually some rich parasite who has a so-called office "job" who will pay these tradies what they ask.

I can't wait until the market gets flooded and their work is devalued.

He's retards think it's hard to glue PVC together or crimp some PEX or sweat in copper (essentially hot glue but with solder!).
>>
>>538195870
Exactly. Most trailer parks it's either going to be PVC or a fernco, and a simple connection to the masthead on the trailer for the electrical. This shit is just pure greed. I agree.

Do as much of it as you can yourself.

No bro.. you're doing it wrong, I'm in northern Ontario and the best way to live is to build a cabin on a trailer and tow it around with your truck... But if thats too boring you can place rigid foam boards under the cabin and trailer and you can launch it straight into the water, cabin boat life. Have a motor on the floating cabin and just troll around any where you like.. no taxes, no utilities (starlink maybe) just float around. Easy.

>>538195955
Beware. If you just bury that it cant flood then pop back out of the land and crack it open. Also Theres rules and its possible the septic guy will give you a quote then decide it isnt worth it to pump that. For instance a rule like the lot needs to be 1 acre or they cant even legally drive their truck over there. There might be loop holes like closed bed septic is OK and doesnt need pumping. Only mucking out with your shovel.
