In Australia & now soon Canada governments are moving to ban social media for anyone under 16 citing concerns of bullying, inappropriate use (porn and creation of child porn), and dangerous activity as well as anti-social behaviors and extreme addictive behaviors (neglecting chores, family, responsibilities etc).While I agree under 16 should NOT be on any social media or even smartphones for that matter, I am weary about the government stepping in due to how they are going to accomplish it probably with a digital ID system. A digital ID is the first step of eliminating physical ID and once everything is digital then the with the assistance of AI the total inescapable surveillance state begins where every possible acitivty we take for granted now will be tracked and traced and can be turned off if teh government thinks you're a bad boy.What do you think about the whole situation?
