You know, we should make a law that the SCOTUS cannot hand down a ruling unless unanimous in that ruling, same as any jury rendering a verdict so justices will be forced to convince one another. There will be no "hung juries" in this case (new judges), any case failing to reach a consensus will be remanded back to a lower court for appeal with reasons as to why no consensus would resolve. Impeachment already exists for judges although the process is never utilized, so safeguards are in place to remove judges if the need arises. This would stop frivolous rulings and overturning of law.
