wut my AC is set to 70.
sorry, you're poor.
>>
>>538220756
100 degrees is fine you go indoors to the 70 degree AC and instantly cool down, know the feeling?
>>
>>538220756
silly anon, nyc, chicago, atlanta, detroit, dc etc aren't the USA.
also nah I've got mine set to 74 since I don't like the gap between outside and inside being that large.
>>
>>538220756
>78
oh no, I'll die
>>
I'm paying the hourly rate for electricity. I save a ton of money by only charging my car and running the AC at night. I just cool the house down to 68 at night and turn it off in the morning. The house is still a pleasant 75 degrees in the evening when everyone is else running it and paying 10x as much to do the same thing.
>>
>>538220756
Charging my phone caused a civilizational collapse of the power grid
>>
>>538220756
69 for me. That's just the large cities with their highly strained electrical grids that need to worry about that stuff.
>>
>>538220756
Isn't the makeup of NYC about the same as the EU (mostly arabs), making this a self own?
>>
>>538220756
The real fun begins when they start the Rolling Blackouts because millions of people have their AC at full blast at the same time.
>>
>>538220846
70 and I never turn off my computer. Dog has been snoozing in comfort all fucking day
>>
>>538220756
That's literally blowing hot air. Our ACs are set to 61F here.
>>
>>538220756
That's only one city not the whole country and they're not being forced, the city is just asking pwetty pwease. Are you even allowed to have AC?
>>
>>538220756
78 is what I keep it on during the day. It's comfortable. Anything lower is cold to me.

76 at night for comfy snuggles.
>>
>>538221106
The grid is inadequate for most of the United States.

When you ask Americans to do something socially responsible like cut back on electricity use to ease pressure on the grid that everyone has to use, half of them scoff and call you a communist liberal for infringing on their right to be selfish assholes. When you tell them that the grid has to be upgraded to meet future demand they call you a communist liberal for wanting to tax them to do that.

Americans are selfish retards with no sense of civic duty. It's amazing that there is anything resembling a society at all here.
>>
>>538220756
>new york city is the entirety of the us
>>
I didn't realize NYC had any bearing on what I'm doing with my AC in Florida. Euros again don't know how the US works.
>>
>>538221404
You can't even call it a low trust society, people actually want others to suffer here.
>>
>>538221330
Eurocuck with a pass
American thermos are default 68
>>
>>538220756
this is probably a foreign concept for you, but we don't actually have to slavish follow whatever some rando mayor says, we're not slaves to the state, eurocuck.

> The grid is inadequate for most of the United States.

I've never had a problem, but I also don't live in California
>>
>>538221775
I've never really liked the cold. Born and raised in The South. I have relatives that keep it much colder than me tho.
>>
>>538222010

>>
>>538220756
Meanwhile magically this wasn't happening before.
>>

When you die alongside your masters remember you could've just stuck to being a subhuman instead of trying to claim status of your betters.
>>

there is going to come a point in time where this type of shitter post gets appropriately floods with nothing happens and his previous fifty predictions where nothing happened and then he is called nigger a thousand times.

Back in the day, we just cranked up the coal at the local power plant whenever we needed extra energy. I’m not claiming coal is the best option, but shouldn’t we be looking ahead? The reason we’re so concerned about energy consumption is that we aren’t building enough power plants to meet peak demand.

And just so you know, it’s totally possible to do both. We can encourage people to switch off their devices and cut back on electricity use while also having a strong electric grid that can handle high demand. What we really need are more power plants, especially nuclear ones.
>>
But my AC is set to 68, and I live in king libshit state Massachusetts.
>>
another episode of "european thinks the US is just NYC copy-pasted over the entire continent"

its 2026 how are you retards still struggling to understand that the US is a massive country.
>>
>>538221945
Most of the country is using shit from the 60's and 70's. It's enough to accommodate the electricity needs we had 20 years ago. It's inadequate for electric cars, data centers, and all the other ways we are using way more electricity than before. The whole thing needs to be overhauled.
>>
>>538223805
Just charge them the actual rate. These selfish niggers may reevaluate the need to be perfectly comfortable all hours of the day if it costs $100 a day to do that.
>>
>>538220756
>78 degrees
I rock 68 Freedom Units all day everyday, fucking cold in here man.

I work outside and our fleet vehicles dont have ac, 100+ today, few weeks ago one of my buddies brought a thermometer to check out temps in his own work vehicle for shits n giggles on a 95f day, reading was 116.

Days this hot i skip the cap and just let everyone look at my bald ass head, drink like 2+ liters of water and dont take a single piss

that said i keep my condo a comfy 65f and as soon as i get home i take a shower and slip into sweatpants and a hoodie and relax.
>>
>>538220756
the level of cope you're on lmao

>>
>>538220846
I have two fridges, a kegerator, and a deep freeze, but I kep my thermostat at 78 because it's more comfortable than 72.
>>

>>538222371
Not my heckin nino-rinos
>>
>>538220756
this is the future the leftist redditniggers want
they know coal and nuclear is safe and reliable which is exactly why they oppose it; "green" energy gives them even more control and power over your life which is the only reason they push it
>>
>>538220756
I inironically keep my place at 67, 68, or 69 degrees depending on the type of cold I am feeling.
