>millenials don't want you
>zoomers don't understand you
>everything you learn preparing you for adulthood is totally worthless by the time you reach that stage
>too young to have experienced peak millenial culture
>too old to actively engage in modern TikTok zoomer culture

is this the most fucked generation ever ? it's like being a bridge between two worlds but neither is your true home

>this the most fucked generation ever
Well, since Weimar Germany, which was at least localized geographically.

Death by Starvation — Hegesias of Cyrene

Scene: A dimly lit chamber where an unnamed man gathers with a group of concerned friends.
Friend 1: Dear friend, you've summoned us here in somber tones. What is the purpose of this
gathering?

Unnamed Man: In the twilight of my existence, my dear companions, I am compelled to unveil a
truth that flits on the periphery of our collective consciousness—a truth that embraces the surrender
to starvation as the ultimate act of emancipation.

Friend 2: Starvation? Emancipation? What leads you to such drastic conclusions, friend?

Unnamed Man: As I stand before you, a humble messenger of my impending demise, I implore you
to lend an ear to the rationale coursing through my weary veins. Complete happiness, an elusive
specter, dances beyond the reach of mortal hands.

Friend 3: Dear friend, are you suggesting that death is the path to happiness?

Unnamed Man: The body, a vessel fraught with sensations, weaves a tapestry of discomfort that the
mind, in its sympathy, cannot escape. Fortune, capricious in her whims, obstructs the fruition of our
cherished anticipations.

Friend 1: Life is a struggle, but can't we find joy and meaning amidst the hardships?

Unnamed Man: Life, a ceaseless tapestry of strife and fleeting joy, entwines with death, a
companion deemed undesirable by the undiscerning eye. Both life and death harbor intrinsic allure.

Friend 2: But what of pleasure, friend? Can we not find fulfillment in the pursuit of what is good?

Unnamed Man: Those who opine that nothing is inherently pleasant or unpleasant beckon us to
ponder the fickleness of desire. Pleasure and pain intertwine like inseparable lovers, rendering the
pursuit of perfect happiness a Sisyphean endeavor.
>>
>>538233508
Friend 3: You speak of wealth, poverty, slavery, and freedom as mere illusions. Are they not
significant in shaping our experiences?

Unnamed Man: In the cosmic dance of folly and wisdom, the wise person, liberated from the
shackles of external judgment, gazes upon life with indifference. Existence becomes a canvas upon
which to paint the strokes of autonomy, and no external boon rivals the treasures the wise bestow
upon oneself.

Friend 1: So, for the foolish, life is clung to tenaciously, but for the wise, it is a matter of
indifference?

Unnamed Man: (nodding) The wise one, guided by an inner compass, finds solace in the pursuit of
self-interest, acknowledging no equal in significance.

Friend 2: But dear friend, your chosen path, the descent into starvation—is this not an act of
despair?

Unnamed Man: I beseech you to understand that my chosen path is not an act of despair but a
manifesto of liberation. The wise person considers the chief good to be living free from all trouble
and pain, and this end is best attained by those who look upon the efficient causes of pleasure as
indifferent.

Friend 3: Friend, we grapple with the weight of your words. Is there no alternative path to ease your
troubles?

Unnamed Man: This discourse is not a plea for intervention but a revelation of the philosophical
journey guiding my footsteps toward a chosen destiny. In the annals of existence, let it be inscribed
that in my parting breath, I sought release from the inexorable dance of pleasure and pain,
embracing the tranquil nothingness.

We got to experience the last of the old world. Landline house phones, no social media, dial-up internet, encylopedias, playing outside, analog technology. Real 80%+ white America. Fond memories of using my sidekick phone and dating girls above my league in high school. Zoomers don't have any of that. It's worse to be ~20 years old now. We also saw technology progress at an insane pace, going from SNES and N64 to modern AAA games

Zillennials got to experience the best part of the pre-internet age without the crippling affliction of growing up and being dependent on devices. Probably the current most powerful generational cohort, wise to the ills of society and naturally wary of digital propaganda

i feel betrayed by reviewbrother honestly. i always backed him, and what does he do? long ass, freaky vampire fingernails. every time i see them i am filled with sadness. i wish he would get a clue and trim them. but, thats just the way it is in this bitch of world. fair enough

No it's the best generation. We are old enough to have experienced some of the good times but still became adults in a world where everything had already turned to shit. People my age are more resilient than anyone else.

to be clear, reviewbrother is free to run his own life. he doesn't have to please me, and i don't expect him to. if he played fingerstyle guitar that would be cool. but still, it fills me with a kind of sadness whenever i see him do his radio sign on finger wave and i notice his freaky salad fingers nails

Yes, anyone older than me is often deluded with an I got mine mentality and checked out, most younger don't have much but worse still are not very capable and increasingly bad at fixing or troubleshooting things on their own as they get younget. Its made the world an easy place to get ahead but if you don't have a family you wonder what the point is.

The gap is wider than you think. I am 1994, my sister is 1991. I have more in common in my childhood/adolescent experiences with my niece and nephews(mid 2000's, from different half siblings) than I do my sister. My sister was almost an adult by the time iphones and social media became a thing, whereas the first iphone came out when I was in grade 6, and was well established as 'a thing' by year 8, with social media proliferating after that. My sister was 17 by the time of the gfc, whereas I had to grow up into an adult with the post-gfc malaise. My sister was at school before computers, and my class was the first year beta test of 'digitizing' learning that became the norm for my niece and nephews. I could rant about other minutiae forever.

>>538234259
Some did, I didn't. My entire formative years were dominated by iphones, social media, and access to ubiquitous pornography, along with the general melancholy brought about by the gfc. I had an alright childhood, and I am grateful that I wasn't just stuck on an iPad 24/7 like the poor bastards growing up today, but otherwise I didn't experience much in the way of positives. I and everyone I know was still helicopter parented.
>>
>>538233095
1999 what i am?
>>
>>538239098
No, you're just a retard. You'll be lumped with millennials by people younger than you.
>>
>>538239382
>My sister was at school before computers
then you were poorfags. i'm older than your sister and we had computers in elementary school
>>
>>538239488
Generations in a fixed sense don't make much sense. 1994-2000 is sort of the transitionary period between the old pre-digital world that was somewhat socially cohesive, and the new digitized world full of atomized, dopamine burned out people that is gen z/ gen alpha. So I get to be a late millennial, and you get to be an early gen z.

>>538239615
No, there were computers. I remember using paint on school computers back in 1999, obviously. What I was referring to was digital coursework, and personal computers (laptops) being handed out on loan for a year, and everyone had a laptop and did half of their schoolwork on the laptop, with teachers directing things via emails and what I suppose would now be called chatgroups. My sister and nobody, not even those kids that went to private school, who were a few years older, experienced anything of the sort.

The world after 2007 (smartphones start releasing, widespread internet access) entered hyper turbo conditioning by ZOG
It's soul crushing growing up with completely useless expectations and knowing you will never get to experience what you've witnessed as a child

Glad I'm crazy. Otherwise I wouldn't stay sane in this age.

>>
>>538239935
Yeah it’s mind destroying. Now they’re trying to take away all old media players period. Computers, old TVs, even the old electric wiring. This is hell.
>>
>>538233095
>>538239514
The actual main difference between zillenials and millenials is that the world we were promised growing up in didn't exist anywhere by the time we were adult.

Anyone entering adulthood before everything went to shit had time to adapt, and most importantly - get settled in the old world still.

Zoomers and pretty much every other generation (maybe excluding the ones that entered adulthood during world wars) got to live the world they were promised. They adapted, in their own ways, but they got what they were promised at some point.

We didn't. It's that trauma >>538239098 is talking about. We're the generation that didn't get our rite of passage. We're still waiting for it, but it won't come. The old world is gone. Coping with that is hard.
