When I lived in Agoura, I actually got bored of how many clear sunny days we had in a row and started wishing for a thunderstorm. But weather isn't everything. I went through the Northridge earthquake and a couple of rounds of wild fires. And the place kept getting beanier and beanier each year. I'd love to live somewhere like Avalon but it's far too expensive. Over on the mainland, there are too many non-weather issues to want to remain in southern California, which is why we moved to the Midwest. It's hot today and we'll have brutal winter weather in January and yet the daily stress level is lower.
