Throwing a random object at it is only going to work if you're lucky. It would have to hit it just right and far away enough so it doesn't explode into your face. I've seen many videos where Russians throw a rifle or some other object at it at the last moment and miss. Shooting at drones is common too, but there aren't many seconds to do it until the drone is in your face. But videos where it's successfully shot down by its target probably never show up anywhere so who knows what the success rate is. We only see videos where the shooter misses it.
