as a kid I used to wear like five (between both hands) plastic jewelry rings everywhere and then I stopped as a teen
but now from the Iranians I'm inspired to get some cool rings and start wearing them again

It's a Shia religious thing. You're supposed to wear a sliver ring in your right hand's ring finger. My mum got me my first ring when I became 16.
>>
Qur'an reading has begun. Water sprinklers have been activated to cool the massive crowds

>>538320443
>I'm inspired to get some cool rings and start wearing them again
Probably a bit far for you to ever visit but if you go to Iranian or Iraqi or even some Turkish cities you'll find silver rings embedded with precious stones at insanely low prices, due to how important it is for all men to wear here.
If you were a jew you'd find it extremely lucrative to buy them wholesale and do arbitrage back in Mexico.
But since you're not, I hope, buy one and keep it for when you want to look extra cool.
>>
>>538320589
knowing nothing about your customs, the first thought in my mind is that the practical significance would've been to test for poisons discreetly
>>
>>538320650
Most Shia customs go back to ancient babylon and persia as do sunni ones that go back to arapia and the filth that lived and still lives there.
>>
>Qur'an reading has begun
God, what a shithole, i feel bad for the people living there, they are struggling to get food, but their government reads the quran to them instead
>>
>>538320710
well, there's also that silver has medicinal properties so it could be helpful to have some nearby in at all times
>>
>>538320804
Most Shia doctrine goes back to these ancient times. The story of Hassan and Hussien, do too. Of course u doub they really existed at all. This applies too to must sunni history, it's all fake, all the hadiths and stories about Mo are all fake.
>>
>>538320872
Inb4 kikes

This applies too to Jewish and Christian religions too. 90% made up.
>>
>>538320872
beyond whether they existed or not, which I do not know, someone somewhere thought it important to wear rings like that
important enough that others also followed in their footsteps and did the same, and it's continued through the ages

I was wondering what sparked that

Persians and Persia are amazing. Too bad they had to accept islame but still they made a better human version of it than their sunni sub animal coreligionists.

That why Islam encouraged people to use a noter to write their contract for them and be their official witness. And those illiterate people wouldn't have to write anything when their signature is already carved on their previous stones. Islam is not just a religion, it is a system of governance.

The Persians and babylonians had much more sophisticated systems 2000 years before islame. They didn't need subhuman apes from arapia to teach them civilization.
>>
>>538321010
I disagree.
Most activities that get passed down have a true purpose.
For example, off the top of my head the banning of eating pork in Islam and Judaism. Today it's reasonable to eat with our knowledge of how to properly prepare meat, but way back when it was much more difficult to properly prepare, making them dangerous to eat, and therefore their banning a safety mechanism for the followers.
The problem becomes when following the advice becomes a yoke instead of limited wisdom.

And this is a good example:

Many many uses for carrying around an ID, and fashionable as well.

— Iranian Deputy FM Gharibabadi directly counters the joint UK-France readiness to deploy a "Multinational Military Mission" for freedom of navigation in the Strait in cooperation with Oman:
"The Strait of Hormuz is not a theater for the military display of extra-regional powers. Iran, as the responsible power and guarantor of the Strait's security, warns with sensitivity to any military movement in this waterway. The security of Hormuz lies with the coastal states; the crisis-makers will be held accountable for the consequences of their adventurism; this is a serious warning."

Shia islam is the only contemporary doctrine that promotes fighting for what is right, avenging the innocent, etc. It's the last heroic religion. I'm a christian, but comparatively, "sell your cloak and buy a sword" is about all we've gotten, which worked for a long time but was eventually subverted into "it was just Jesus making sure he got arrested".

Meanwhile, overthrowing tyrants and embracing martyrdom is are the core of shia islam. It's impossible to subvert.

I admit that if you asked me to prove Shi'ism as *the* true religion by rational means, I couldn't. It's not superior to other religions in that regard. All I could realistically argue is that it is the more historically authentic branch of Islam.
However, it is clearly superior to every other tested worldview, religious or not, in its practical end results. If the primary goal of a national religion is to provide a moral and social backbone for that nation to consistently produce good people and resist the evil of the world, well I'm yet to find any other doctrine that does that better, especially in the modern world. As you said, we have an inherent and deliberate immunity to the infilitration of evil into the religion's ranks due to our origin story and collective memory.
I admire the doctrinal and moral consistency of Catholicism (the actual, non-larpy type), I'd even say it's better than Shi'ism in that regard. But as a candidate for a strong national religion, it's taken more than a few severe blows during the 20th century, many self-inflicted.

my operating theory is that primary motivator for france and italy are GCC weapons contracts
for the UK it is about their funny business in iraq where they lost hold of the cheap oil in the north

I don't think US pressure is necessary for them. Could it involve some US favor horse trading or attempt to make it multi lateral for PR? Yeah but I don't think that is the primary motivator here.
>>

Are you saying it's a big claim? Was it part of your plan?

10mbp through the strait by ship bypass were said to handle 6-9mbp (-2.5mbp of prior level before the war through the saudi east west pipeline)

I put the number at 60-80% some even said 90%
>>
>>538328343
In the statement they make a big deal of how Oman asked them to provide this "support".
The plan is pretty clear, persuade Oman with gifts and threats to not create a joint toll regime, use Omani waters to create a highly policed "alternative corridor", and hope that demoralizes Iran from charging tolls alone over on its own side of the strait.
This could indeed work if they show that the Omani corridor is safe and can sustain a large percentage of strait traffic.
Bad news: neither are true.

saudi arabia having shahed clones weakens israels relative power,
saudi had a high tech US NATO kit which values strike heavy, logistic complex and glass jaw systems

if they go heavy into shahed saudi could annihilate israel due to distance

that is the big part of this that most overlook mid to longterm should the saudis buy enough instead of
shooting them at yemeni goatherder

france is quite kiked so i don't think the US need to meddle in, also hubris and our own historical interests in the region, tho i'm pretty sure we have a strictly defensive position so far
i think we should focus on lebanon since we have good relation with them which would put us on iran's side
>>
>>538328442
Possibly, I just don't think they'll ever do anything related to Iran without prior coordination with the US & israel.
>>538328491
Why would Oman go along with it at all? Iran already set a precedent that they're the only country that can truly control the waterways and close it at will.
The US can't afford to maintain a significant military presence and the continued fighting required to keep it open, let alone create a situation stable enough for insurers to comply.
It's simply easier and more reliable for everyone involved to pay the not-tolls as long as the IRGC maintain their capabilities rather than pay for the US's war.
>>
>>538328491
the US escorting ships didn't work
just the US "guiding ships" didn't work

That is true, france and the UK are US sockpuppets here just that they got their own reasons to fuck around there.

Motivations are often the best way to predict actions when you got otherwise poor data.

Catholicism is so radically divergent from scripture that it should be considered a pagan religion. They made too much stuff up. That said, orthodox and protestants are guilty of the same. In the end, any serious christian has to study the bible on their own, apply discernment, and follow the teachings of Jesus and the apostles.

I can't speak for the authenticity of any branch of Islam as a true successor religion inspired by God, but if we apply "by their fruits you will know them" then shias are the undisputed champions of morality in these age. Had Iran, Hezbollah and Yemen been sunni, globohomo would have swallowed everything already.

Overall I see Islam as heretical, with the shia branch having been interceded by God into something positive, as in turning poison into medicine. Sunnism, in comparison, is openly demonic.

>i think we should focus on lebanon since we have good relation with them which would put us on iran's side
The driving narrative in the west is that Hezbollah, and by extension all Shia Lebanese, are just a terrorist element randomly attacking innocent israel within their own borders.
They're actively trying to pretend Lebanese Shia aren't now a majority of the country that israel and the Lebanese government are colluding to ethnically cleanse.
It's a disgusting effort no better than what they tried to pull in Gaza.

As I said, gifts and threats. You don't know what the mutts told them behind the scenes.
Oman isn't a strong or self-sufficient country. It relies heavily on its geographic position as a maritime trading hub. Sanctions would wreck them

oil is the most pressing thus the most actionable
if the oil goes through the other material follow

I wrote in earlier /pig/ editions that the toll system is not the final line
should iran surrender on it the US will demand to traverse the strait with warships at leisure

so it would be prudent for iran to have the fight across the "service fee" line instead of the warship crossing line
no matter what reform cucks say this is a fight iran has to have it is too useful and important

surrendering service fees only moves the fight to a stage where the US has a bigger advantage and iranian
interest are even more vulnerable

The US wants to apply the Iraq model but without even winning the war, they want full inspectors and complete freedom to operate like they had there looking for fictional WMDs and complete access to everything and anything Iranians do or say.
It's a kind of hilarious seeing the US try to enforce its will without having the ability anymore. This is why they have to resort to threatening all their "allies" just to try to dig themselves out, while burning every bridge that was left in the region rather than adapt to reality.
I don't think either israel or the US will have a place here, this administration torched everything and the next one will have no interest in mending fences here instead of focusing on Europe.

>>538328998
probably on hold due to chinese sanctions on the US for them violating international law

speaking of which I have seen multiple clips of the US representative to the UN
insisting that the UN building is on US soil, this is not true
it is international soil, that the US delegation can't even uphold this basic pillar of international law necessary for embassies and so forth to work means they operate on a rogue level

did anybody issue a formal complained? that is a constant now
the US threatening other countries with the UN being "US soil" it is not per US definition
and this distinction is necessary for the UN to work
>>
>>538329064
using allies to get another stay and bite at the apple did work for the US in ukraine as in the european theater

>Doesn't that make you a protestant by definition? Or how do you see it? Which church do you attend, if you do?
I'm just a christian anon, there's no catholics and protestants in the Bible. I do attend an anti-zionist evangelical church (they exist) for the community aspect, but I don't believe in denominations. I follow Jesus alone.

The UN to the west has increasingly become a dumping ground for incompetents and people they can't really get rid of. Not the sorts of people who'd uphold any laws let alone actually know about them.

>I'm just a christian anon, there's no catholics and protestants in the Bible
The argument I personally have against this sort of non-denom christianity is that, sure, there aren't catholics or protestants in the bible, but there's also no Bible in the bible. It's a bit of a leap of faith to say the nonbiblical church managed to successfully decide on and assemble the proper canon of inspired books (and if so, which canon is that?) while also not being the one true church.
I do think you can logically avoid this issue if you say you don't follow "the bible" but rather Jesus, and just say that the bible is a historically accurate depiction of what jesus did and taught. That seems to be what you're saying and I do respect it

I love my country, and hate so much about it. I'm at least glad we have outlets to express our free speech, despite so much of the problem (the jews) being a protected class.

I've said many times: The generations after me were not programed with holocaust education. they have TikTok and pol, and can see what is truly happening without the media or jewish filters.

The most I will celibate is with burgers on my grill and enjoying the fireworks from my window. Its too cunting hot out for anything else.

I call dibs on interpreting Kings.
Elijah challenges the worship of Trump by calling upon God to close the strait, which he does.
Then the prophets of Trump (miggers) call on him to do the same, "O Trump! Answer us!", but are ignored.
>"Cry aloud, for surely he is a god! Either he is insider trading, or he is building a ballroom, or perhaps he is writing truth social posts about Obama and needs to be alerted."
Then God arises to slay 450 miggers on the spot.
