With no blood attachment there's no use in serving the system that simply exists to extract from you. They feel this and see the obvious patterns in front of them even if most can't really articulate it. They may be dumb but that's only because the world they arrived in had become too easy to navigate to fullness. It's a complex human problem and the system can only contain so much pressure before it burns out. This is true for the cell all the way up to the planet with the human individual in between. Containment is a lost art and things are becoming such that the system simply needs to purge excess code to find equilibrium. No one group has to be extinguished. The entire system must burn hot and long enough until all that's left in the ash is the thing underneath that was the only pure thing all along. We're due for a flame and overdue a freeze. Either way it's out of our hands which tomorrow will be the last so why even let any of it place itself near the center of view?

Give them an inch and the corporation will exploit it to the ends of the earth. If a law was passed tomorrow that banned the H1b system or any form of immigrant labor over a certain percentage, the country would be better off. Companies would panic for a few years but would eventually set up training for external candidates, and actually pay citizens for their labor. The housing market would actually open up too.
