Turns out the Saiduka (Tule-Eaters) Otherwise known as the Red-Haired Giants of Lovelock Cave didn't die out fully after their war with the Paiute, their descendants live among the Tsaiduka Band of the Shoshone (Allies of the Paiute). It is perhaps true the Shoshone took pity on surviving children of Saiduka and assimilated them as one of their own thus the name carried on.
Apparently before living in caves they lived on an island in a lake made of reeds on which they ate the roots of too, much like the Uru People or Qhas Qut Suñi of Lake Titiqaqa.
