Give it to me straight - because I honestly don't know, I don't have many friends and talk rarely to my parents.I live in Vancouver, acquired my full driver's license in 2023. Since then, I've been involved in 8 separate accidents, 6 of which I was deemed 100% at fault for, by ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia). My buddy who lives in Toronto came visiting Vancouver, we met today for lunch, both of us got our license at the same time - he burst out laughing at me when he learnt this. I felt a bit embarrassed.I honestly don't think I'm a bad driver, like I drive normally, but my buddy refused when I offered to drop him off at his airbnb and I felt MAD. Wtf
For context, here's the complete list of all the 8 accidents - what's your opinion?1) tried to lane change in solid line, f150 banged me. I was 100% at fault.2) tried to lane change on solid line, Filipino lady with Nissan rogue banged me. I was 100% at fault.3) banged at the behind of a nice old white lady's suv, I admitted fault immediately and helped her reach home too. Because I was distracted by a hot blondie joggers boobs on the road, and couldn't stop in time..car totaled. I was 100% at fault. This was incidentally, a rental car from the autobody shop that they had given me as courtesy car to fix my earlier accident. The manager told me this was the first time in their history (Morrey Infiniti Autobody, Burnaby) that someone had totalled a courtesy car. But he said since it was a courtesy car, ICBC told him that premiums won't increase. So I asked for another courtesy car, but he said no.4) I was going 70 kmph in a school zone, very angry with my life and dad, banged into the side of a white lady's suv. Car totalled. I had a small cut on my finger, few stitches, lady was unhurt. No concussion. Only crying. ICBC didn't held me responsible though, because she was supposed to come to a complete stop. I had right of way. Felt bad though.0% fault.
(contd.)5) Lane changed very fast at high speed. A Mercedes Sprinter Van banged me. Got saved by airbag. Car totalled. 100% at fault.6) Couldn't stop in time at a traffic light and banged an Iranian lady's Suv. 100% at fault.7) Both me and another middle aged Chinese, I think, lady were turning into 20th Street, new West, at the same time, it's a 2 lane road, but she kinda came close to me and banged me on my left. In my opinion, she should've driven properly, but I was a bit on her lane too. There was no dashcam or any cameras involved, and both of us claimed innocence, so ICBC held me 50% at fault.8) I flipped off an angry jeet on a Saturday at 3 am, he got angry and while overtaking, banged me on my left. He stopped in front of me, came up to my window and was threatening me very badly, I got scared and dialled 911. He left after some time. Fortunately I had dashcam..I was held 0% at fault.
kek retard
>>538386472Nigga what? I've been driving for in a major city for nearly 15 years including nearly 7 or 8 years of delivering (pizza at college and Uber/door dash now) and I've NEVER been in an accident. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum from you though. You're clearly not driving defensively, you're probably one of those retards that treats the road lines like invisible barriers in a video game aren't you? >"Oh well I have the right of way and there's a solid yellow! What could possibly go wrong??"EVERYTHING, that's what can go wrong and you have to assume it will every single time. Keep that head on a swivel my guy
>>538386985I'm not sure why I even made this comment because it's clear you're unsaveable. You need to lose your license wtf are you doing?Have you considered playing driving games more? Maybe if you got good at racing sims it would rub off on your real life skills? Idk, these crashes man, you sound fucking awful. Do you have some kind of motor impairment? Perhaps a missing limb?
>>538386472You are a faggot larper. With that much shit either your policy rates are prohibitive or you are scamming someone. Which makes you a jeet.Rope and seethe.
>>538387049No I'm all good physically. But I'm unironically Indian tho. An immigrant. Came here 2020. Parents never let me drive in India, I lived a very sheltered existence. I got my licence in 2023 at age 25.Not that being Indian means anything bad, just oversharing cuz I'm drunk AF on a Saturday night and got nothing else to do
>>538387074No my insurance rates are indeed fucking sky-high. This year they rose up to $3600, so $300/month. My Toronto friend pays something like $1879 he told me.
>>538387189I was going to say something mean about your race but I'll let the rest of /pol/ do it for me.
>>538387074I don't scam, but I underreport my mileage each year during insurance renewal, so I get a 10% discount. Is that scamming? It's quite innocent from my perspective...
>>538386472>Vancouver >I've been involved in 8 separate accidentsUmm, you're Chinese
>>538387269Yeah I mean idc..I'm chill w jeet jokes man...
>>538387189Leafland is offering you nothing bud. Go back to India its the land of opportunity
Every single incident you described is your fault, with one being maybe shared fault. You exhibit signs of road rage, extremely reckless behaviour, inability to learn from your mistakes, and general lack of awareness. You are an extremely dangerous driver, you should not be on the road, it's a miracle you haven't killed someone yet. STOP DRIVING.
>>538386774You drive like a blind chink or a jeet with an izzat addiction. With that record, you really shouldn't be driving anymore. I've been driving in the US since 1999 and Canada since 2004. In that time, I have a total of 2 speeding tickets. One happend the first year in Canada due to misreading the MPH on my speedometer as KPH on my US model Civic. The latest was going 25kph over the the 90kph limit on a highway and happened 15+ years ago.
>>538386985>>538387049>>538387074>>538387269Probably this will mortify you even further, but I decided to try becoming a class 5 driving instructor last year December. There's only a handful schools that offer instructor training in lower mainland. I managed to get a police clearance and ICBC clearance (since I don't have any points on my record, no speeding tickets, in fact no tickets by any cops ever...just parking tickets). I passed all interview stages, gave very good answers but failed at the driving test the school conducted. So they didn't accept me as a student, and asked me to try back after a year..it's a good side hustle, and I like mentoring..I handle junior devs at my IT job, so more mentorship experience will obviously look good on my resume when I will try for higher roles like senior manager or director in the future...so I will be trying out for the drivers exam in Dec of this year again..it will be one year since.
please walk, bike, or take public transit exclusively for the rest of your life and never drive again
>>538387840Why don't you just skip the middle man, get a trucking license, then kill a family of 5 by crushing their car without noticing?
>>538387918I find it very hard to drive normal cars by following 100% of the rules, which is why I failed that test the school conducted. Trucks are an impossibility for me lol. Also, I work at a cushy IT job, I don't like blue collar work
>>538386472With tha btrack record having a private chaffeur would be cheaper. And definitely safer for yourself and fellow road visitors.
>>538388043I'm driving less and less these days. And I've been incident free since November 2025. The longest incident free gap since I got my licence in sep 2023. And I drive at 10 kmph below the speed limit. Always. Sure some folks honk at me. But I can't help it, I'm not a good driver as the.
>>538386472Is this the reddit car equivalent of ND posting on /k/
>>538388214Idk bout that pasta. But mines real btw.
sounds like you're retarded. I'm the same, which is why I don't drive unless I have to
Highly skilled immigrant moment. You jeets never cease to amaze me.
wtf how is that even possible. Your license should be taken away if you're telling the truth.YOu are a danger to everyone in Canada.
>>538386472If you're at fault for more than one accident, you are a bad driver. An accident can ruin someone's day, even deprive them of their vehicle if the damage is bad enough.
>>538388007Breaking rules is for intelligent people who can do it without harming others. You need to stop driving. I wouldn't even let you ride a bicycle if it were up to me.
