i think its because of seasons. having to live in a place where winter and the adjacent month on each side is very rough and bad for growing crops means you have to adapt and plan for the future, live in order and respect rules and plan ahead, which over generations makes your brain prone to using logic and thinking ahead.whereas most cultures in the world just lived in eternally sunny and plentiful places, so time doesnt matter, you can always hunt something or eat some fruit off a tree, which doesnt lead to smart people, i think
