why shouldn’t someone that works at mcdonalds have a living wage?

pic unrelated
>>
Because we have to have an underclass of downtrodden worked to death citizens who the middle class can always point and laugh at
>>
>>538438948
Because McDonalds is just a job that teenagers work for beer money
>>
What is a living wage?

The reason why they aren't paid as much as you probably want them to be is that their labor isn't worth that much

Because it owns the libs for 80% of the country to be impoverished tax cattle favelados who will never own anything. To say otherwise is antisemitic.

The infinity migrants is a gigantic part of WHY the Mcdonalds employee's labor is of so little value
>>
>>538438948
They should. Only billionaires and boomers disagree
>>

Because McDonalds is a temporary job. You work it till you find something better, then leave while someone else takes your place. McDonalds is not a career unless you're franchising. Same is true for any fast food chain. You should not expect to live off cashiering at McDonalds, your aspirations should be higher than that.

That’s exactly the fucking point, migrat

Because increasing the cost of labor reduces production. People should be paid what they are willing to work for. There are a lot of people that don't need a living wage(mostly young people who live with parents/roommates) who would be willing to work for less but will lose out on a job.

I don't think you understand what a livable wage is.
If the temporary job doesn't meet the bare minimum to cover bills in the city you work in, then it's not able to fulfill the purpose of acting as a baseline stabilizing job as would be implied by being a temporary job.
Do you think a livable wage only refers to a corporate career path?
It literally just means a minimum survivable wage, as far as I'm aware. Though I could be wrong.
But yeah if it can't even meet the most basic survival demands, then no one would want to work that job. It takes time to work up to other jobs and careers, and if the wage can't provide that stability then it's worthless. It should at least provide base survival, even if you're right to aspire for more. Can't really aspire for more if your base wage doesn't give you the foundation to build off of, now does it?

Ah, okay that makes sense then. I agree, the pay should be good enough to at least cover essentials.
>>
>>538439458
now can it?*

Cool, we agree

The government should just establish a limit of slots for every age range and execute more every year we get older to keep us in the approved range.

When my father was in college he got a part time job at McDonald's. He didn't need the money, his parents were supporting him, but he wanted more spending cash. Why shouldn't he have been allowed to work? Why deny him that job?
