Progressives are so mind broken, covid is something of a religion for them. Covid was a source of immense hope for them. It represented everything they most deeply revere. It was the fusing of collective action (for the greater good), free gibs forever, no work, they were empowered to order people around like petty tyrants (over the nose!) and it was all totally scientific (which appeals strongly to their false sense of intellectual superiority).
They were wallowing in fantasies of chuds dying helplessly (if only theyd trusted the science!). It was to be the dawning of a golden age for them. They were all going to be trans activists comparing the benefits of their chosen boostie, never again having to work even leave their house.
These people exhibit all the characteristics of s cult. My parents were in s fundamentalist cult. Such people never let go, never admit error and will cling to their most extreme beliefs with determined faith.
They will always be right in their minds. Even as they die of turbo cancer (which they will blame on once inhaling a tiny mote of second hand cigarette smoke).
