Do you guys remember why people liked Putin in the first place? Before he started his pointless war, he was building an economic bloc to challenge the U.S. and reduce the world's dependence on the dollar. He also consistently criticized the U.S. for acting as the world's police and starting wars. That strategy worked and convinced a lot of people to side with Russia. But then he decided to play the conqueror, fell into a trap, and started a forever war that has largely destroyed everything Russia had going for it.
