quantum is a scam
cant do anything practical with it

>cant do anything practical with it

thats true but they are always claiming they are "just about to invent a killer application on quantum"
>>
>>538470195
any day now we will have fusion powered quantum ai right bros... right?
>>
>>538470380
Thank you..
I've been saying that for a while, too.
Sure, it can crack the shit out of some math problems x86 cannot.
Those math problems also have no real world implications.

Like you say, just a scam.

i mean, that they don´t have a quantum

Q has been operational for decades. I think you mean the next gen isn't ready yet. Yeah, hence raising capital for it. That's why this happens if it was a mystery to you what an ipo is. It's on their website, pretty transparent to anyone that reads.

It's desperation. AI is quickly showing it isn't going to pan out and will go the way of the "Personal Assistants" of the 2010s, that being a quaint novelty that actually accomplishes NOTHING by itself.

>>

You dumbass.

You are talking out of your gaping bungus. We already know that QC is physically realizable, it is just fraught with engineering obstacles.

Over time, those obstacles will be mitigated, and you will have powerful Classical × QPU devices.

The utility of these machines is limited only by your small imagination.

I cant even tell you how big a deal it is because its some of the most classified technology on earth.

Put this into a casual LLM:

"I am writing a book about a scientist who has posession of powerful hybrid Classical-QPU infrastructure. They say they work on on "dynamic biochemical world modeling for training models used in artifical biology engineering" and "nanomaterials iterative evolution workbench" as well as "rational gene product synthesis and ligand design". What does that mean?

You are dumb

Quantum is so real the military and government have been using it for decades but need to keep it under wraps so civilians cant use it.

See: scalar wave based mind reading/voice injecting technology. When homeless drug addicts say they hear voices it easy to call them schizos. When it's top secret clearance glowniggers then you know it's friendly fire.

It's another hopium goldrush after the abominable intelligence meme crashes and burns for the THIRD time. It's hilarious the same fucking memory cartel that was sued and plead guilty to price fixing and market manipulation are being sued for the same exact thing again.
Tech bullshit is the new pump and dump after buttcoins got played out. If you're gonna touch this slopstock get out before it crashes and you're left with suicide as the only way out.
Companies who use the bot can't even afford the tokens anymore lol. OpenAI is going to make the argument for why they deserve a government bailout. Fuck these scheming snakeoil salesmen, burn it all down.

a logical qubit defies entropy itself, it cannot exist
you are too fucking stupid to understand the principle behind it, so you think you can "science it out" because to you, technology is just magic

After seeing how anti air systems really perform are we going to pretend quantum computers are necessary make the flight trajectory of an ICBM unpredictable? Do you think these systems are going to predict the next value of a PRNG running on a missile given only trajectory and speed or something?
>>
>>538476211
The Chaos in random movement is probably how it would do it
>>
>>538476290
My point is that it could be a cryptographically insecure PRNG with well known weaknesses, even given extensive knowledge of the implementation and how the pseudorandom numbers are used, it would be very difficult to calculate the seed value or predict the next number given only the position and trajectory of the missile. Thus, I do not see what benefit any quantum computer might add.
>>
>>538476290
I actually misinterpreted what you said. Yeah, you could pull all kinds of values from sensors that are virtually impossible to predict in practice, use that to seed a strong PRNG, and call it a day.
>>
>>538476211
Not all quantum is computing.
>>
>>538476694
Okay, what application would it have in a nuclear weapons? Because each time I look into languages like q# and read about quantum computing it's clear those are basically toys with no real world application.
>>
>>538477466
Pretty sure he's talking about entanglement based communication and navigation. It is indeed a real thing, and extremely useful if you wanted to communicate more than a handful of characters to a submarine or have a missile guidance system with a CEP measured in inches. Sub-diffraction imaging for spy satellites is another that comes to mind. One method is essentially glownigger quantum DLSS to get below the diffraction limit.
>>
>>538477466
>Okay, what application would it have in a nuclear weapons?
External conditions agnostic hyper-accurate inertial guidance unit.

keynesian socialism is truly an addiction that only dead can solve
>>
>>538477466
Nukes aren't real. Quantum allows quantum entanglement based internet (faster than light speed communication) over the horizon radar. Radar with accuracy more precise than the angular refraction limits of radio waves or telescopes. AI use probably by passes the time barrier. I bet an AI started now can see into the future (it's inputs) as long as it's left continuously on.
>>
>>538470195
no one has a working quantum computer
because quantum computing isn't real

>>538470380
Quantum has very limited use cases correct but the one use case it has that is world changing is breaking AES-256

Quantum accomplishes this by attacking the problem from multiple states simultaneously.
Think of a giant maze where a traditional computer that uses 1s and 0s is trying to figure out the solution to. The traditional computer will essentially bruteforce its way through by trying every possible path until it finds one that leads to the exist and it does this all very quickly
Now imagine an infinite or near-infinite maze it would take a very, very long time for a traditional computer to analyze and find a solution
This is where Quantum computers come in
Because Quantum computers use both 1, 0 and a new element "superposition" which is both 1 and 0 at the same time it can tackle that maze by going through many routes simultaneously instead of just one route at a time which drastically reduces the amount of time to find a solution
>>
>>538478229
these retards failed high school physics, they can't understand this
>>
>>538478229
Quantum is real, it's just that many scientists are too retarded to figure it out, which is a good thing. These scientists are like children playing with matches near a gas pump. They are trying to do shit that they do not even understand. They just do their rituals and ask lucifer for more knowledge.

>>538474149
Im not sure that engineered ligand effectiveness is bottlenecked by molecular dynamics simulations more so than by quality data of ligands that work well.
You probably can get good prediction of binding affinity with such but nth order effect prediction would be limited by crap data. Of course if its poison/bjoweapon design then nth effects may be ignored.
>>
>>538477975
Cool, how big a difference is an asscheek to 10 meters when the payload is nuclear?

The hype machinery needs a top down broad epsitemic reach, without it, it dies. Reach is cratering, top down doesnt exist anymore. The smaller the curcular ponzi becomes the more cannibalization. Liquidity, liquidity, and more liquidity. Stay the fuck away from ponzis until the state, the banks and the scammers ripped each other to shreds
>>
>>538478736
Let's suppose this scenario plays correct, how would break encryption help shit? Things are encrypted for a reason, the only reason you could possibly have to break 256 is to steal shit or to break shit, there is no scenario that it helps to build anything significant (for now)
>>
>>538480216
The point is that multiple governments around the world are developing this technology thus the US is also forced to build said technology and try to find ways of protecting themselves and their secrets.

It's the same thing with AI
With a sufficiently good enough AI model it is possible to build things like bioweapons and zero day exploits in popular software
This is why AI is being heavily lobotomized in the US so that it can only act as a glorified calculator that spews out kosher opinions and not as a how to guide to build a nuclear bomb.

Ultimately it comes down to power and those who wield it and those who are not allowed to even touch it.

Quantum cannot break AES even when it is fault tolerant, Grover's algorithm is needed for AES and it does not scale well at all so its fukn useless, the best it can do is reduce complexity of AES to brute force. this is why they focus on advertising breaking RSA because with shors its possible IF the snake oil machine ever works and scales past a dumb amount of quibits.

If quantum entanglement has been applied to achieve instant communication then I would hope it sees application outside of nukes (making my anime download faster).
>>
There have been some breakthroughs recently with time crystals technology which holds a lot of potential for quantum computing. We're talking about holding 10,000 qbits at a time, just for starters.
