Therapy almost never works to help people solve their problems because therapy is based on classical Freudian psychology that was meant to cure severe mental illness and not normal problems in life. If youre suffering from depression or anxiety, these are normal human responses to the pressures of modern life. But therapists are trained to treat them as abnormal behavior or a physical abnormality. So the 'treatment' you get is to be talked to like youre a 5 year old who needs to learn how to behave or given drugs. Its extremely common for married couples having marriage problems to seek therapy. When was the last time you heard a married couple say that therapy solved their marriage problems? It never happens because therapy does not treat adults like adults who have personality issues. The reason that society has had such a blind trust in psychology was because in the late 1800s during the industrial revolution there was a huge increase in mental problems, but psychology did not exist then. So when people had mental issues they were deemed to be 'mad' and sent insane asylums and there was no treatment given to solve their mental issues so that they always became worse and irreversible. Then two schools of psychology arose in the early 1900s by Freud and Jung. Freud won out because it identified mental problems caused by psychological trauma and so mental issues became treatable. This gave rise to the idea that psychology is a science to be blindly trusted. But psychology is now misused not to solve mental illness but to solve all life issues. Jung actually had the superior psychological concepts but they were deemed to esoteric and only for academic study.

>>538471529>145. Imagine a society that subjects people to conditions that make them terribly unhappy, then gives them drugs to take away their unhappiness. Science fiction? It is already happening to some extent in our own society. It is well known that the rate of clinical depression has been greatly increasing in recent decades. We believe that this is due to disruption of the power process, as explained in paragraphs 59–76.) >>538471909picrel.
Nobody sits down and talk for hours anymore, which is therapeutic. Now people pay money to a stranger to do that
I have mental health issues stemming from rampant drug use. Aside from when I am using drugs I am extremely well balanced, fit, and successful. Therapist told me to "do what makes me happy" lol - anyone with a brain says "stop doing drugs" but when I explain why I'm doing drugs they empathize with me. Empathy is not something you can sell - but therapists try to.
One thing I’ve found out over the years of talking to psychologists and therapists is that they are all almost as fucked up as me.
>>538471529Therapy was invented to help jews cover up sexual crimes
Broken people study psychology to try and figure out why theyre broken, getting a degree for them to try and figure out why you as a client are broken. Their main job is to get you hooked on drugs and do gay shit.
>>538471529Therapists who never solve the problem may be a problem to address. Unless the problem dwells within the patient. Then that's another story.
I'm studying experimental psychology because I want to learn more about perception and how it forms a superset with all other cognitive processes.Therapy, or rather clinical psychology, is lame and gay. Studying how the brain and the body work under normal (or rather, typical) conditions is way more important.
>>538471529>gf often behaves annoying>arguing all the time >”anon, we need to go to the therapy, you’re bad in relationships and you need to finally understand it”>ok>pick male therapist for a pair sessions>he listens to the both sides>after a few sessions of talking with us he lets her understand that she’s the one to blame for the most domestic conflicts >now, when she heard that from “authority” she finally accepts it and starts behaving normally, at least most of the time >thank you anon for listening to me and trying the therapy, it helped us a lot>relationships are almost perfect now
>>538471529Let's be honest though... Freud and Jung wrote a lot of shit that just sounds good but can't be proven/tested/falsified. You kinda just read it and go "yeah that makes sense" and have to blindly trust that their models of the human mind, which they pulled out of their asses, are in any way accurate. It's a big pile of bullshit.
