real AC hasn’t been tried in europe
>>
Fine looking unit to reasonably cool a 2400 Sq ft place affordably. Nothing beats central air if you plan your infrastructure around it.
>>
>>538472504
>2400 sq ft
that would be serviced by two of OP’s pics from what I’ve seen in a two zone configuration

AC is going to be banned in the US starting 2030. FYI. It’s the only way to fight manmade climate change. Enjoy it while you can.

This is why. Temperatures are only increasing.

I purposefully bought a 900 square foot home just so I could cheaply flood it with an overside 4ton cooling / heating unit.

Now my summers are frosty and winters warm.

stay jelly eurocucks, you live in HELL
>>
>>538472853

short cycling might not dehumidify properly

the correct sized unit is important
>>
>>538471557
Who the fuck needs it to be even cooler?
>>
>>538472853
I let natural air circulate thru my open windows all summer long.
Now heating in the winter is a serious matter.
>>
Just pity them
Most of them will say they simply dont need them and truth be told most of them have had a family member they had to bury in summer

Is this real? Imagine the cope.
>sure kids and young people get shot dead in America by the thousands bu....but old people in Europe die from heat in summer!
Uh, weird flex.

Spread the love
Why keep all the heat for yourself when you can share it with the guy in the other room
>>
>>538473038
And they’re only getting worse… what’s your point?
>>
>>538471557
You know mini-splits are more efficient, right? This is why HVAC jews charge you 4 grand to install one, while in Europe it's €100-200 or even free depending on the country.

Not really, the average max US temperature has decreased .25C since 1930s
>>

I open my doors here and there just to let fresh air in but I have kids that need the cool

My house is 2405 sq ft and I have a unit very similar to that. I do live in Western New York, however, so I don't get a lot of direct sunlight and it's not that warm most of the year.
>>
>>538471557
Looks just like mine senpai
>>
>>538471557
We don't need it up here
>>
>>538473358
You’re missing the point. It’s getting hotter everywhere on average. Outliers will always be outliers.
>>
>>538473847
>in New York
makes sense. in the south that would be 2 units of 1.5 or preferably 2.5 tons. ive seen bigger mcmansions with 3 or 4 AC units too here. almost makes me want to just get a commercial grade AC unit (and water heater) in my future home
>>
>>538472586
Not at all. any single 5 ton condenser would be sized right for that (and even more).

Now overkill can be bad. You need to properly size for your square footage.
>>
>>538474407

That looks like a standard 5 ton condenser which would be properly suited for a house that size around here (tri-state NY area burbs).

I have an older 5 ton Rheem and it performed well during the recent hear wave (your home's insulation etc. will factor in then).
>>
>>538473358
We got the 100 year pandemic are we going to get the follow up dust bowl?
>>
>>538474175
No you are missing the point. The hottest years on record are in 1934-1936 in US. If global warming was happening, shouldn't the hottest years be now 100 years later? Not far in the past?
>Its from man made pollution
Then shouldn't we do something about the most polluting nations? China and India make up 70% of global air and water pollution but climate activists say nothing about them.
>>
>>538472586
Thankfully if in 4 seasons it comes in when it's humidity in the air. My parents use it, its healthier for them. We just had a valley summer shinook here at 40+ and it's breathing soup. AC keeps it easy.
>>
>>538472853
>I purposefully bought a 900 square foot home
No you didn't, they don't make single person homes.
>>
>>538472504
You don't need anything that size for 3 days at 35c dropping back down to 21c for two weeks.
Europeans don't have florida weather.
>>
>>538475689
It was built in 1945. It's fucking OLD but I redid the entire electrical system, new cement back patio, new central heating / cooling, even added a room. (dont tell the city)

I'm not knocking your 900 square feet anon

I'm laughing at this 0 bedroom 440ft for $329k

440sqft in New York is spacious. 12k is nothing in that market for an active neighborhood with other professionals in different fields. It would cool the unit perfectly.

I know I lived in Manhattan for a decade. Both a 1bdr and a studio later on. Tiny as fuck.

Still 30 mins on the A train to lower manhattan.
