Can I phase through the bus when the light is green? What advantage does this have?

>In China, buses display traffic lights... on their back

Why?

If there's a bus in front of me the traffic light being green is kind of a moot point isn't it?
>>
>>538488763
asians and driving is never gonna be spun as a positive
>>
>>538489328
For the situation in OP's photo, it doesn't help but if the bus is the first vehicle at the light and you're the second, the bus can block your ability to see the traffic light.
>>
>>538488763
There has never been a time I haven't been able to see a traffic light because of a vehicle in front of me. I guess short kings really do have it tough.
>>

americattle gawking at their smartphones arent any better, bud.

It can also block your progress. What fucking difference does it make when a 40,000 lb vehicle is in the way?
>>
China is a disjointed shithole where self-driving vehicles will plow through freshloy poured cement and the drainage systems don't drain because the inspector was paid off by the contractors and there are no pipes.
China is a shithole, I lived there in a top tier city for several years, I know better than everyone else.

Chinks be like:

>>
>>538490234
In that case, when the bus starts moving, your light is green. If the light is only green long enough for one vehicle to go through, you lived in a failed state with no civic planning. This falls into "novel, but useless," like a most "China is living in the future. LEDs on thing!" posts.
>>
>>538488763
If my lane moves I move too. How is this even helpful?

>I lived there in a top tier city for several years, I know better than everyone else.
Thanks for posting an appeal to personal lived experience on our anonymous message board. What city, what year, for how long? Your post is as useless as traffic lights on a bus.
>>
>>538488763
What's the point? If the bus shows a green light you're supposed to ram its ass to make it accelerate faster? That seems extremely unsafe to me if that is the correct answer
>>
>>538490234
Not even needed anymore. Their traffic light is synced online, you can use phone to see it instead

I visited Hong Kong, about 4 years ago. I travelled all around the Hong kong area for about 30 days, visiting the cities of Macao, Shenzen, Gangzhou, Foshan, Yangjiang. I work as an ISO auditor (the International Standards Organization), which is in its most basic form, an set of engineering principles for quality controls. I am not an engineer by the way, I have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technologies, which makes me a "Technologist". I am a member of the Applied Scientists and Technologists of British Columbia.

I would not describe China as a "shithole". Certainly not the city of Hong Kong.

However, having said that, China certainly has extreme levels of pollution, in some areas. They have alot of substandard quality parts, and a culture of corruption which creates more substandard quality. During my work related visit, I had numerous Chinese companies offer me a wide variety of "bribes" .... anything from hookers and narcotics, to cash, vehicles and clothing.

China is a developing country. Having seen first hand what Chinese factories can produce, and having a professional and in depth view of their manufacturing capacity, and very specifically, their quality control systems. I would publicly comment the following:

China is a beautiful place, with many beautiful people. They have some INCREDIBLY hard working people, and some very talented people. Unfortunately the culture of corruption does not allow these people to always rise to the top, though in some cases it does. China has a significant pollution problem. This pollution is so significant that it impedes the quality control processes INSIDE factories. Certain products, like medical devices, require sterile environments.

It is the underlying culture of corruption which is in fact Chinas second biggest problem. Even factory floor workers will hide quality problems, as well as supervisors, managers and owners.

False. I'm not against chinks I wish them all the well but I never want to interact with them at any time ever.

woah, go watch some midwest safety
>>
>>538488763
What an incredibly useless feature. You'll know what the light is by whether the bus is going or not. What is this information going to give to you that you didn't already know?
>>
>>538488763
Seems retarded. If I’m behind a bus I know the light is green when the bus starts moving.

What does this shit actually improve?

chink issue

Turns out to have a functional progressive society you must be as racially homogenous as possible.

Not really about height my room temp IQ friend. You can’t see higher than the roof of your car. I’m guessing you are one of them big truck owners.

Cool that you can see over other cars, bud sad for nearby kids that you can’t see the road in front of you.
>>
>>538488763
This was a problem that didn't need solving, you just introduced a distraction and an extra source of confusion.

>gee all the traffic in front of me is moving, I wonder what color the lights are

No. My grandparents are all from UK. One Grandmother is an OBrien from Ireland, one is from Edinborough, and both my Grandfathers were from England, one from London, and one from Sheffield. I have visited the UK as well, but I liked Wales best of all, though I must say, Ireland is a magical place, its incredibly beautiful. Scotland, on the other hand, was drab and grey, rainy and damp. The people are awesome, but maybe it was just a bad weather week. My Gran from Scotland was always the "tough" one ... and now I know why. She worked all her life, right til her deathbed, I aint kiddin, that woman worked til three weeks before she passed away. My Granny Obrien on the other hand, was hilarious, she was always making me laugh. She was filled with life, and a strict catholic, very devout, but fun loving. She was also very clever, "crazy like a fox" ... she worked towards her goals in mysterious ways, and was very successful at getting what she wanted. Both my grans were lifelong friends after my parents met.

My grandfathers were both royal navy officers, thats how my parents met. My father was a naval officer in canada, and my mother was a national swim team member. She was an athlete, and a very good one.

I sort of feel the same way. Some are very good people, in fact most of them are. Too many are slimy though, and they seem to foster alot of corruption. I dont think they understood, how INSULTING it was to me, for them to offer me a bribe. I dont do business in China anymore. I will never return, not after the "two micheals incident". If I ever arrive in china again it will be on a landing craft! and Im too old for that shit.

Or you naturally start driving as the bus begins to move, it's not as neccessary having these around but it still looks cool.
>>538496461
When op said the west has fallen, I can already see why.
>>
>>538488763
Maybe don't drive so close to a bus that you can't see the traffic lights ahead
>>
>>538488763
Very nice of them to let me see the traffic lights that I'll never get to because the chinese bus will crush me before I can drive past it.
