Germans think Americans are logical. On a subconscious level, they assume that Americans will view Europe in a similar way to how Germans see it and will recognize that Germany has, historically, been a highly civilized nation with several basket cases to the east. That will never happen. America is a superpower that is replaying a fantasy version of its mythic origin (the War of 1776) over and over again on the world stage. Americans project their hopes and dreams onto "weak nations" (Ireland, Poland, etc.) who are being oppressed by "empires" and they show zero compassion or empathy to the "villain" in the story. When you realize what America actually is, it's actually quite horrifying. This nation's issues aren't limited to a powerful Jewish Lobby. White Americans are culturally unhealthy and detached from reality, with a grudge against anything they recognize as "powerful" because they see it as similar to the British Empire that once ruled the colonies.
