/pol/ I study nightmares, and nightmare entities, like the tsunami nightmare that some of you surely had at some point in life, you may ask anything, sadly I have more questions than answers

There was an specific nightmare involved Blemmyes that lasted for thousands of years until around 1930,then Blemmyes almost entirely dissappear from human imagination itself, but I suspect that in origin those creatures were natural borns of the nightmare
>>
so is the noosphere accurate as a concept or are we talking different dimensions and shit
>>
Elaborate on the tsunami nightmare.

Do you do this professionally?
>>
>>538492393
There are enough recorded events to imply a kind of noosphere exist but not enough to say all emotions are equal acknowledge by the noosphere.

Is there another extra dimension on top of the noosphere created by the noosphere itself? Very few evidence but in my opinion yes as the are faint feedbacks of something not right
>>
One time I had a nightmare where I was in my bathroom, and I just started peeing.
And then I woke up I realized I had pissed the bed.

What does this dream mean?
>>
>>538492405
>Elaborate on the tsunami nightmare.
Nightmare entities can be both geometrical spaces and creatures or concepts. But the most plausible explanation would be that it generated on the nightmare when the flood described by most ancient people did occur and it stayed in our collective subconscious till today
>>
>>538492479
>Do you do this professionally?

As a personal hobby, idk about going professional
>>

Is there a reason no one's even trying to scientifically prove (or at least chart out) this stuff? Ian Stevenson was an exception but he died almost 20 years ago.

>Is there a reason no one's even trying to scientifically prove (or at least chart out) this stuff
Yes it's money, academy and research field are professional beggars, it means that in order to have funds you need to suck dicks and do research things that involve profit somehow down the line, if you even want to entertain fringe stuff you are essentially shut down from any kind of source of money, most prefer to take care of their reputation instead of pursuing interesting frontiers

She connected with an nightmare created by the great flood thousand of years ago that has remained in human subconsciousness, i don't know why it appears randomly but it leaves the person with unnatural high stress

Blemmyes are a tribe in Africa believed then to be headless due to them hiding behind shields while standing. They still exist as the Beja but I suspect the headless ones are in fact a different entity all together.

Here is something interesting: drones have very slowly started to appear in nightmares and I predict drones dreams will increase through this century, it's significant because specific technology don't appear that often in the nightmare

Anything can appear in dreams once it’s been seen. If you watch drone vids all day then no shit drones are probably going to pop up in your dreams at one point. All nightmares are is your subconscious brain unravelling the fears you ignored during the daytime.

Well yes, but what in trying to say is that nightmares involving drones will appear more regularly with people that never watched drone gore, a thing that supposedly shouldn't happen according to pure memory theory

No vertebrate has a cephalothorax so it indeed could be a group of entities that exists well outside our own. Perhaps if evolution happened much differently.

Nope. I can also lucid dream, where I realize I'm in a dream and can take control. I've never had nightmares though.
>>
>>538492266
Several times a year I'll have this nightmare where I am being chased by some kind of a demonic entity. Looks like a young, tall, very thin man, completely ordinary, you might pass him on the street and not even think twice. But I know I have to run from him because he has evil intentions and he's incredibly strong, if I tried to fight him it would be like trying to fight a bulldozer. Last encounter that I remember was that I was at my parents' house and I saw him outside, I ran to the basement because there is a room that has this really thick, almost vault-like door. I was waiting in there and suddenly the guy just opens the door with the entire frame and part of the wall, it meant nothing to him, I look for a weapon and all I see are a few empty wine bottles, I break one and I try to stab the guy in the face with a broken wine bottle. It does nothing, as if the guy's face is made out of steel. I realized that this is it for me and then I woke up. I wonder if anyone else has something similar?
>>
>>538493390
Every night has a story! I'll be going to the movies in about an hour too. Hopefully I'll have a dream about tornadoes, or mountains again.

>>538493322
I had a sleep paralysis one time except it was a succubus that visited me. I heard something sort of wake me up and I couldn't move. I felt pressure moving on top of my comforter and slowly coming up to face and felt warmth. I started getting a chub and warm tingling on my cock, soon enough I just jizzed and the pressure faded and I was able to move again. I sometimes wonder if I have a bastard demon child running around.
>>
>>538493615
Ah interesting, thin men are really fuckers in the nightmare, I would classify them as a whole group rather than an unified entity, something I have encountered is that they are PERSISTANT means it's rare to dream them just once, they often chase across multiple nightmares thou their power level does seem to vary from person to person

I dream a lot and rarely have nightmares. It's usually humans claiming to be other things.

They also say that all people see them in the same spots inside a room, when they see them, a communal hallucination.

You start seeing them in the outside of your vision after a few days of no sleep.
>>
>>538493966
>It's usually humans claiming to be other things.
They were other things claiming to be humans and convinced you to feel they are actually human. But a flicker of light in their iris, a tinge of metallic gray on their skin, a slight halo of light or sea haze behind their collar, headgear or just bald head.

You can only read papers or phone screens from very very close. And you need to focus and stay still, plenty of time, don't hurry. Good luck on your exam.

Pretty spooky i am here cus I woke up from a fucking scary nightmare was at a barbecue and people started acting insane and aggressive then running eachother down in mobs not unlike 28 days later. I ran for my life and circled around the block til I could make a break for my car and when I came back around everyone was still as a board and dressed in black. When I made a break for it they seemed to teleport to my car and I was in the process or starting the engine when I jumped awake with an extreme pain in my arm but no numbness. Scary part is my pet was also having a nightmare and I woke it up incase it was a bad one too. Fucking spooked out

2 questions:
my friend had a vivid dream of an owl devouring a rabbit. what does this mean?
my wife recently brought up having a threesome. i immediately thought about her and another woman.
i had a dream we went to a swinger party, found someone acceptable each, but when it was time to do it she looked dissapproving and i noped out, then woke up. does that mean i shouldnt cheat?
>>
>>538494080
>Nightmares that occur in the same room you are sleeping are very fuckery trickery they do mess huge with your sense of reality
In all three scenes, I was in the same position on the bed, all things were arranged or messy in the same way, same colors, the only difference was the door closed or slightly open. Probably backfill from the waking up and memory association spilling between short term and long term both ways.

Since then, when I wake up and have a weird feeling about the dream, I'm just like DELETE DREAM FILES NOW, CONFIRM!

One time, I was lying on my right side and had my radio on while sleeping. I woke up and started hearing something talking and calling my name from the radio, which I thought was weird. I turn to my left and see a shadowy figure standing by my bedside which was more pronounced from the light by my radio. It startled me and I closed my eyes for a sec and opened them and it was gone. A week earlier my Dad had passed away and that feeling after I opened my eyes had a tear going down my cheeks.

I know /x/ is fucking useless sometimes when you actually want to discuss something, but this thread should be there.

As for the face chest people fall out of people imagination. Could be all manner of thing. Nightmares do appear in groups which is strange, but that leads into the human race being subconscious pyskers.

Waking up everyday and having to talk to " people" is my nightmare and my sleeping nightmares are more entertainment. Much like saying to serial killer that at least they are not boring.
>>
>>538492636
Crazy. I had a dream like this and knew it was divine punishment that was killing us all, but I thought it was because I flushed a live ant down the toilet that day so other ants couldnt track his pheromones into my house. Your explanation makes a lot more sense. Few dreams have shook me like that one. I woke up begging for forgiveness.

I used to get nightmares. They were my favorite dreams. Hopeless fights, endless challenge, jumpscares, weapon/holster malfunctions, and supernatural opponents.
God I miss them. Eventually my brain or whoever was running the simulation caught on though. Now all I get is old acquaintances that want to get in my way and chat when I am trying to do something or get somewhere fun. Not even people I like, just the ones I would want to ghost. I hate it so much.

How do you anons break out of sleep paralysis? I've been getting it more often recently. The thing is I'm not sure if the stuff I do under sleep paralysis are actually even real or not. I think I can control my breathing so I breathe really hard to try and wake myself up, and I think I can groan so I make groaning sounds. But when I finally snap out of it I don't feel like I was hyperventilating or groaning, I feel completely normal so that makes me think I'm even hallucinating my own actions in sleep paralysis.

I had a lucid dream once, and i was able to outsmart it and realize it was a dream
>fall asleep on couch, just me and my brother is in the house
>he's in bed and the lights in the kitchen are off
>suddenly wake in sleep paralysis
>someone is breaking into the house, i can see him walking around outside with a knife and stomping
>i realize I can't move, and the lights are on in the kitchen, which should be impossible

I had a dream about drones before drones, aside from predator drones in the army, were a thing to witness in domestic life.

>Walking in neighborhood where I grew up around what seemed to be a late afternoon
>A hovering, yes, hovering like anti-gravity, drone that looks like a smoke detector is hovering about three feet off the ground.
>Drone is roughly the size of a game console
>It keeps bumping into my legs which hurts
>Grab, what appears to be the lid, much like a smoke detector cap, and start trying to remove wires and circuitry
>A voice from the drone speaks from a small internal speaker saying something like “Sir. Don’t tamper with the drone, sir.”
>It’s a woman’s voice with the decibels of speaker phone on a smart phone.
>There is implication that the woman is remote at a station somewhere like a sheriff or police department.

Sometimes I have dreams where I’m back in 8th grade but as an adult with the “How the fuck did I end up in school? School sucks. I’d rather drop out of this” attitude. Usually in these dreams I try and find the exit to freedom. It usually ends with me walking down the sidewalk away from this theoretical campus. I had a continuous nightmare that started with something pulling me off the bed by dragging my leg. My reaction was to jerk my leg up, I did this so hard that I woke up doing it. It felt like someone speaking right next to my ear, what does this mean? It happened once more several months later.

Are dreams in a local phenomena? If you go to a different place do you take on the dreams of that place?
>>
>>538492266
I'm not trying to be an edge lord but the dreams I have that would be nightmare teir for most do not scare me. Experiencing demonic entitys, more specifically trying to fight them. Wondering dark forests running from entities, creatures literally tearing me apart, fighting in hellscapes only to die and not wake up immediately after death having to die over and over again.
My typical dreams are random and frankly skitz, they draw a story line in a gibberish amalgamation of real and fantasy in a very lucid dream.
Those that are mundane typically come true (probably due to the fact they are typically pretty common events in my life)
None of these things raise my blood pressure or force me awake. The things that scare me are the things that bleed into reality such as being arrested for murder or running from the police and those dreams always end with me retreating to my room where I wake up and think it was all real. Unable to process in a blurry state for a couple minutes after awakening with my heart pounding.
