Perhaps things have always been horrible (most likely extremely more horrible in the past) but now you can be aware of the entire world's horrible realities at once. We all share in our pain but also in beauty and knowledge. Its basically an evolutionary step and some members of the species will not be able to adapt to it. Only the ones who can process large amounts of information without becoming an incel or a femcel will have the offspring that survive.
