They were renovating the building from office to residential. They must have either made some major structural modification and it went wrong. They may also have stockpiled construction material and overloaded the beams. I’m leaning towards the first because you’d have to really try hard to overload a floor beam like that.

>probably new or majorly reconfigured elevators
Basically all you can save is the building structure and envelope. Everything else has to be totally reworked.

Structural will evaluate what happened and why. There would already be engineers who designed the renovation and they would be the first to get the call. The city will certainly have their own engineers out there, and probably a third party engineer, as well. The issues are

It’s still unknown what the damage really is. Reports of some buckled “beams” (really columns) are all I’ve seen yet. They were probably doing some structural modification that went wrong. It’s probably repairable, and it will probably take a very long time and cost a lot of money. Entire companies will go out of business over this and a lot of people will lose big time. All damage is repairable. The question is it feasible either in effort or cost. In NYC the answer is no.
Somewhere else maybe. It would require an analysis and an engineering team to design supports to lift the building back into place and support it until the structure can be repaired and/or replaced.

The USA has been coasting on buildings and infrastructure that we build 50+ years ago and refuse to update or replace because thats expensive. That ancient infrastructure is reaching its breaking point, so a lot of stuff is going to start hitting critical failure at roughly the same time in the next 10 years.
A plumber friend of mine goes all the time on how we're 10 years out from not having functioning newer systems in half the country because we keep putting off doing the replacements until they completely fail, and there literally are not enough plumbers in the country to keep everything working once it all starts to go.

Water can get behind the coating and cause rust for sure. But that alone wouldn’t cause multiple column failures.
>>538519311
It’s probably a combination of things. The main question now is were they doing major structural modifications or just an interior renovation?
>>

It’s only feasible to renovate buildings from office to residential with major government subsidies. Historic tax credits, HUD, something. Otherwise it’s just not economical.

>>538519575
Well, there's another way to go about it. Force office buildings by code to create floor supports, sewer and water availability that would enable a simpler transition. That could reduce the number of firms who can afford, and reduce the design options, which I suppose is also a bad thing. It could also give a nice niche to certain arch and building firms.

It can be fixed. The price depends on how bad it is. Maybe its a junk beam and gave under a load it should take. the steel is moving all the time. from wind and temperature. if you wait for long enough all the tall building will fail like this, effectively nothing from our era or generation is likely to survive into the future. its all so fragile it will all turn into dust. see thats why the pyramids are so genius. they can not collapse, their natural state and their collapsed state are the same, thus they last thousands of years.

The cost is on the buyer, not the developer. Market bears what market bears and access to the US east-coast within walking distance to the port and all of NY will bring buyers.
I think more likely, for a time, you'd see simpler structures. Someone would want the location enough to match it. And once it's there, the extra sound proof and floor security is also a selling point. You can have your entire floor screaming about the market and the people above and below can't hear a thing. Toilets abound so the boss can powder his nose with the secretary in any number of hallways.
>>538520783
I'm not dodging, the partially closed structure worked like an open air furnace, the fuel burned in a contained space. The bodies of the passengers and their goods burned, and I have no idea what was in the freight section.
If you want to argue the point, I have zero doubts that the US (((banksters))) hired Mossad boys to finish up some work in the ME; to hook the US on the Israeli drip.

Knew some boomers that worked on the recreation of that hypothesis but determined it was impossible for that to happen because the circuit always failed closed. It got memoryholed. The bigger goal is to make me forget to ask things like
>why was NORAD shut down on a day when Israeli intel in NYC all got a text warning of an attack?
>why was our greatest ally aware of a massive threat to life against millions, but the US was just casually knocking off its radar systems?
What do the Bilderberger and Rothschilds have to do with Zionism, and why are jews such dumb faggots on everything completely obvious with their failures to match the bloodline of Jacob?
>I'd rather murder strangers than tell my mom and dad they're in a cult
Yeah, but not all of us is cowardly shit baskets, mkay?

Wtf anon, thats how the furnace works. The entire point is to contain the heat and save energy. Without the insulated furnace, you have to use more energy to get the same amount of heat. Dude, this is shit you can read for free
>>
>>538525809
The building stopped working right. Under normal circumstances, building tend to "act right", if you will. In this case the building did a rather rare thing and didnt "act right" and it simply fell down

This is the top floors. If you can find the support beams below, and structure up under using multiple floors coming up from around, you might be able to straighten this. But everything above is now in question to longevity. And to some degree, so is everything below, depedning on how the weight is resting.

I never said blast furnace you moron. Im pointing out that you guys never consider insulation that acts like a furnace and the various other fuel sources that existed. You latch on to the simplest of answers and just run with it without ever questioning it. You just gulp up whatever bullshit youre fed by an algorithm and take it as a nugget of forbidden knowledge that only youre smart enough to "get"

the point is that there were not blast furnace conditions up in the WTCs and stoichiometry will tell you that there is no possible way enough BTUs of heat were transferred to the structure to cause a collapse, much less a nearly symmetrical one

That's what you get when you put browns, blacks, and jews on councils. The former two are too stupid to understand the importance of infrastructure maintenance and the latter are too cheap (and hey, you can always litigate your way out of it).

Don't answer that, I don't want you getting surrounded by eager Rabbi.

Temperature maximums are not reached additively through lesser fuel sources. Only the time it takes to reach it. Jetfuel can't melt steel beams regardless of how much paper you throw on the fire.

that statement by itself ignores that steel fails long before it starts emitting visible light, when under load.
It's like, when a rabbi gets really excited about having a chance to bite baby dicks, he can bob his head back and forth for hours with all that heat, even though there's no baby dick to bite nearby.
Strength of the material is halved at a half a dozen hundred degrees F. And the tower was missing a few key supports by that point.
>>
>>538526526
Can you stop saying "blast furnace" please? Youve now confused other morons.

How in the fuck does this confuse you? Youre now convoluting something that should be rather simple to understand.
>>

The WTC buildings were mostly glass and that glass had broken. There goes your blast furnace theory.

>South Tower (WTC 2): Burned for 56 minutes after being struck by United Airlines Flight 175 at 9:03 a.m., collapsing at 9:59 a.m.
are you seriously that retarded that you think 56 minutes is plenty enough time for the structure to have been weakened by whatever remained of the jet fuel after the vast majority of it was burned off in the initial explosion?
>>

lmao look at how mad this asshole is getting because he got btfo'd

I'm laughing because you're desperate to pretend you could have been the actual Jew, if you just win this meaningless strawman.

But the problem, nobody can trace to Jacob, and winning this argument doesn't change that Israel is an, if not The biggest enemy to the West that exists.
There is nothing Western in Israeli Zionism.
>>
>>538526993
>the density of the building
You mean the volume? A building doesn't have a density, dipshit. It's mostly empty space, like your head.
>>
>>538526808
An hour long fire is a long ass time. Dude I swear life must be so fucking easy for you. I cant imagine how simple your day is. You have no concept or consideration of how much shit is inside of a building. There is square miles of shit crammed into the walls of a building like that, not to mention various types of bullshit that can roar a fire way over what gas can.

Magnesium for example can heat a fire up to 4000 degrees. Alloys for structures can contain up to 10% of it. Oh yeah, and the fucking jet engine has it too. That's just a single simple part of it. Just like youre reducing this down to a bite sized answer thats 'yes or no' its impossible to explain this to you.
>>
>>538527237
Every single similarly built skyscraper that has suffered a fire was fine. Jetfuel can't melt steel beams.

>>
>>538527194
>>538527194
No retard, the density of the glass, like i said. Why the hell would you assume density of a building? How the hell did you get that from what I said? I was specifically talking about sq footage of glass panes when I mentioned the fucking density.

You know, the thing youre going to need to understand the load you can put on it.
Since youve got two engineering degrees, youve heard that at least twice
>>
>>538527324

>>

>>

The exterior wasn't load bearing, the central columns that were made out of 8" thick box channel were.
>>
>>538527334
You've been strawman and fallacy on bullshit since you started.
Your mother can't trace to Jacob, nobody in your family can trace to Jacob.
Nobody on earth can trace to Jacob, the Torah is defacto defunct, the problem is you're all afraid of a baby chaser.

That's it.
As for this building, it might be savable, but I have a guess that when you go to prop it back up, the other columns will show how bad they are.
I suggest tearing off the top that was added on, that might save it.
>>
>>538527365
>the sqft of the building is online and so is the density
Geee, why would I think you were asking about the density of the building when that is what you said? Retard.
Also, the glass isn't supporting any weight you fucking idiot. Lmao.

>With enough insulation a wax candle can melt steel.
NO.
>>
>>538527237
>An hour long fire is a long ass time.
sure that must be why they have time ratings for that shit
totally no problem that you're trying to say its no big deal for the rating to be exceeded in a third of the time because it was totally blast furnacey but not a blast furnace and let's nevermind all the people touching metal, that means nothing when we're talking about metal getting so hot it loses its tensile strength
>magnesium

fucking WTCs 101
>>

Whoops thats my mistake. I got worked up. The sq footage of the glass panes, THEIR density, as well as the number of them are all online. Since the building was "mostly glass" according to you. Id like for you to tell me the weight and the load that glass needs to hold for the building to stand
>>
>>538527623

under an internal fire load. nobody puts those ratings on a half blown out floor.

Steel girders are about .005% magnesium. 200k tons of steel leaves around 1000 pounds of magnesium inside the building from the steel alone. That is pretty significant. Thats not to include any other amounts found inside the engines and whatever the hell would be inside the building. Magnesium burns over 5k degrees. Is 5k degrees hot enough to melt you steel? Oh speaking of jet fuel, it burns hot enough to ignite magnesium.

Are you starting to see how this isnt a simple answer? Its crazy, its almost like its a multitude of different things that happened instead of a nice clean answer
