Goygle won't give the the results they don't want me to see whenever I look up something that is even the slightest bit politically charged.

Is there a /pol/ approved search engine you guys are using?

yandex sucks too
>>

bing and yandex only
>>

yeah this happens to me aswell, particularly when i look for certain kinds of pornographic content

im fucking sick of it

Yandex started selfcensoring regionally about 2-3 years ago to avoid gettting banned for illegal speech by free speech loving palces like the USA and EU. Previously it was a great way to bypass the heavy filters and mass censorship on American mainstream platforms.

Yandex is great for searching copyrighted shit. Their image search needs work.

Yandex is a powerful tool tho.
ALL search engines suck donkey dick now. The Internet is too big and the profit motive too enticing
>>
Nothing beats google's "exact quote" searches.
>>
Librewolf with duckduckgo, with a VPN on and on a Linux system.
>>
>>538526219
you forgot tor
>>
>>538526305
Tor is too inconvenient for normal, daily use, and the onion links are all honeypots. Librewolf works much better, is more customizable and just as private, if not more.
>>
wiby.me exclusively indexes personal pages which are almost always light on, or have no JS whatsoever

it's like searching the 1999 Internet, very nice indeed

This is where I'm at currently.
I often find 4plebs in the first page of Yandex results, while google is mainly reddit conversations, and Bing has decent image search results.
>>

>duckduckgo
they were confirmed to be spying on the users, despite promoting themselves as otherwise, like, few years ago
>>
Why don't you ask better questions. I use Brave and the AI is getting pretty good.

It's a portmanteau like how we do in English
я = ya = (I)
ndekc = ndecks = index
Yandex literally means, I index, or (I)ndex, if you will. That's why the "Я" is a different color in their logo.

Also yes it's kinda shit. And even more so since they throttle non-Russki IPs.
But, bar none, Yandex translate is the best Enligsh --> Russian, and Russian --> English translator. It's the must use one if you're learning Russian.

I liked how searching on the health affects of being blasted by RF EMF from smart meters has no results, or just party line "it's safe!" crap, on Google while Yandex has plenty of opposing viewpoints. Really makes you think.

i am like 2 months into learning russian. like 30 min per day.

Google and Brave yield the worst results imo, with Brave being slightly better in some cases. Bing and Yandex are ok. But it doesn't matter what you use now, its all a far cry from what it was pre 2019-2020. With all the shit getting impossible to find via standard search you're literally better off saving stuff and sources if you can afford the time and disk space. On a somewhat related topic I remember a thread from maybe 1 or 2 years ago where anon was asking smt along the line of "what is going to be the next digital gold?" (with financial stuff excluded like bitcoin and shiet). Something is telling me that these data hoarders dudes are far from crazy.

Which was a lot less surprising to those of us that knew the owner is a jew.

What interesting is there's a ton of priceless content stored in pages saved on archive.org but it's largely inaccessible as the Archive has no indexing of their Wayback saved pages so the best I do is find old link pages and explore where they lead as digital archaeology.

>google is mainly reddit conversations
Google and reddit literally have a deal where
>google pushes leddit posts to the top of search results
>leddit lets google AI scrape its entire databse for material
So google uses reddit to make its AI retarded and gay while also making users more so by promoting reddit posts

yandex has become much worse since the ukraine war to better appease western governments. it's getting just as bad as google.
>>

This. For me the digital archaeology part kinda compensates for the ghetto indexing getting in the way.
