Also i think i got a good dunkelgrau 52 with these tamiya paints. They dont rlly have any designated kriegsmarine paint but tamiya shit is cheap and has good pigments. The thinner is banned in canada so i had to use 91% alcohol and a tiny bit of glycerin to retard the paint drying. Im gonna repaint the deck dark grey/black with light coats to get some of the wood to show thru in places theyd be walking on the deck. This is my first model

literally everywhere in the world is the same slop thanks to globohomo (in the OG sense : global homogenization). Same norms, same standards, same economic goyzones everywhere. I do wargaming and painting. Very nice submarine, good job on your first model! You should definitely give her some sort of shading. The big TT companies usually have good stuff, or you can always make your own by using thinned oil paints.
I also like reading history books. Currently reading "Illustrierte Weltgeschichte".
And currently I'm trying to teach myself how to play Go.
>>
>>538527372
Check out Ammo by Mig Jimenez. You can buy kits for them and the pigments are richer. Also, get an airbrush and a compressor with a tank. Mostly i 3d printed models and finish them with airbrush an weathering ( little tamiya powder kits). You can also get into printing guns which is fun as well. Those I finish with cerakote ( air dry).
I also have a little darkroom i fuck around in. Sometimes I sell hand made photos of random shit. There's plenty to do if you have the means to get started.
>>
>>538527743
Gaunts Ghosts First and Only, and Eisenhorn Omnibus (the first 3) are so far the best 40k books I have read. Good literature in general, decent themes and connecting the dots. Some symbolism. Held back by needing to know the setting a bit. Dan Abnet is one of their better writers but is not always good at independently describing something. They just reference equipment or vehicles and you’re supposed to know what that is already.

I have not read Siege of Terra.

Mountain biking..

Rich kids sport you know. Smash up a $8k bike every summer...all summer long helicopters flying over my apartment to Shaughnessey Hospital spinal unit for mountain bikers that fuck up. It's brutal and unnatural. Skiing you fall down on snow. It's nice. Mountain biking you fall down going 40km an hour and hit boulders.

Better have $$$$ for bikes and a good health plan. They're all insane stoners, torching fatties before doing Big Stupid.

I only partake once every few months, but poppies are easy to grow. You can find whole heads and unwashed seeds online every once in a while, but they get shut down fast. They work better with mesophillic cultures because the acidity can get puf of control if you are making a thermophillic cheese

I like doing backyard projects. Each time I learn some cool shit. I did a brick patio last year super legit. I'm talking digging everything up, leveling, framing, gravel and sand, compacted everything, using line to lay things out perfect, etc. I'm doing the same but with a curved pathway this year. I've also ran power to my beeg shed (having a ceiling fan there is nice). Slowly learning some gardening, etc. It still feels like there is endless things I can do when it comes to landscaping, etc.

I started woodworking as a hobby a couple years ago. A complete happenstance, I had some leftovers in yard and needed something... so I built it myself. I was hooked, it was like a drug. 3 years later, I got a whole range of electric tools worth thousands of dollerinos - a band saw, stationary circular saw, jigsaw, chainsaw, a couple drills, angle grinder, vibrating sander, grater, etc.

Anyway, I started doing small and easy shit like shelves and flower pot holders. Gradually I went up in complexity and started doing furniture we are actually using around the house and yard. I've done a coffee table, dinner table, yard table, drawers, doors, all manner of chests, animal enclosures, etc. Working on chairs atm, but it's pretty hard. The satisfaction of building something out of raw materials is indescribable.

I could have showered some woman with all that time, attention, money, the works, but none of them gave me the time of day. I gave up on women and having a family. It is what it is.

Reading and writing. I've long thought of giving an emigre from the former USSR I knew from a while back a cool thou or so to have him spend the week with me and let me interview him for a book-length firsthand account about growing up through perestroika. He's an irresponsible drunk, though, so I seriously wonder if it's already dead in the water as a concept. I've brought up the idea to him when we were neighbors, and he always dragged his feet coming around to it. I know the project isn't likely to make me money, but it does seem like it would yield good material.

Other than that, I've been working on some essays and a collection of short stories.

bro if you are new to the scene
Scalemates is the site to check your next kit with, the year the tooling is released matters a lot, older = shittier, way more work to get looking good, revell is famous for reboxing old ass kits, new kits will blow your mind
Also find your kit number and search for upgrade kits/photo etch for the next level of modelling
jewtube has good modellers, nightshift, scale a ton, plasmo, plus model car guys like that are a4 garage that are insane, most insane is a guy lock on art for absolutely insane scratch built detail
just remember these guys spend 100's of hours on a model and have 10000's hours of experience so don't get disheartened seeing their stuff

I have interest in nothing and no one. 27yo virgin male working from home a well paying job. 9-5. At 18 it was over and I doomscrolled then at 19 I went to jogging till 20 then shower then dinner then doomscroll till now, 2am. It's like this every day, every week, every month every year. Except in winter I don't go jogging so I always stay at home (I go only to the grocery 2times per week). I have abandoned my friends in 2021. Never had a gf, never will, never will search her. I live in my mom's basement but at least I pay the grocery, so i don't feel totally guilty. I just exist in my home. Hobbies? Yeah counting the day till I end my self is my only hobby. The 4th attempt will be the good one

i got a qodosen dx-286 handheld radio. it's a portable with a car tier receiver so you can listen to shortwave and it doesn't completely sound like shit if you put the antenna in a good spot.
shortwave is prob shit to what it was decades ago but it's nice to tune into other continents from europe and asia. chinese fund a lot of channels, north korea has some, new zealand, and there's even some pirate channels that go up once in a while.
we also happen to be lucky having a couple fm stations that are funded by viewers so don't play a ton of ads throughout the day.
ive found it nice to relax compared to having to handselect music all the time.

I lived in a duplex that loves RC. He got me a job at the marina and was a master engineer with all sorts of certifications and ridiculously specialized tools to repair boats. His basement was full of shelves with various parts. He would never shut the fuck up about it. He thought I was retarded because I risked my life to stop a boat from sliding down an icy hill. He is correct.

Who's forcing you to play new ones.
We're living in the age of emulation.
You can emulate everything from the atari up to the dreamcast with retroarch. Then all you need is a handful of standalone emus (pcsx2, dolphin, rpcs3, xenia, something for switch, chadPS4 etc) and you have everything worth playing on a single device.
More good games than you have time left to play them in your lifetime.

I built an emu rig in 2014 and hooked it up to a CRT @ 240p and ive been using it ever since and i'm not sick of it even slightly.
I just got a new CRT off facebook marketplace too, it was only a couple of hundred (AU$) and it's better than any OLED because of the motion clarity.

Retard. But they're on average bad books. There's probably a half dozen of the 100+ HH books that are even decent, and the absolute best of them are only a B- by pulp scifi standards.

You should read better slop. There's plenty out there. Just avoid anything that's been popular or given an award since 2010 or so. Start with Greg Egan, his works are kino.
