I can see trades being wealthy in resources. I'm an engineer and every trade hates our profession, and anyone quoting work on my house wants to put the engineer tax on it because they assume I make mid to upper six figures. I don't, I just maintain my shit since I used to be a technician. Trying to get my HVAC replaced and plumber says he gets HVAC dirt cheap because the trades simply trade their services. HVAC guy tells me his mechanic keeps his car fixed for keeping his HVAC fixed. I'd tell people start in a trade and then go white collar.
