Did anyone else think Russia could still win after 2022 but eventually realized Russia fucked up?

For me, it was late 2024, with Ukraine still holding the line and Russian allies starting to drop like flies

Let's just wait and see how it ends.
We won't change anything anyway.

It's a tiresome discussion because /chug/ is convinced that the mere fact that they are there in Ukraine is enough for them to be "winning". Ignore the massive casualties, damage to their infrastructure, Ukraine even retaking some land, the failed battle for the capital, apparently none of that matters.
Ukraine cannot totally remove Russia from their territory, but I don't see how that is such a flex. Everything else Russia has done has been a total failure, and wars were never fought on the basis of "teehee I'm here in your hinterlands and you can't kick me out, teehee".

>so much smaller than itself, so much less powerful
By this logic, USA should have easily defeated North Vietnam.
A reasonable explanation would be that empires nowadays prefer to fight wars with only a fraction of their power, because they fear the public opinion.
Not only this, but also, NV was getting a large scale military help from the Warsaw Pact and China. This military help, in the end, proved decisive. Today, Ukraine is also getting a large scale military help and, because of this, could possibly win the war.
I am absolutely fed up with the incompetent shills and their low-IQ arguments that are so easily defeated. Can you guys finally come up with something interesting?

Shouldn't have betrayed Syria.
