Context for non-germans:As opposed to the high school system in the U.S. for instance in Germany you have a 3-tier system of secondary education. After the 4th grade your teachers will give you a recommendation for either Hauptschule, Realschule or Gymnasium depending on your grades and general performance. It used to be that parents would mostly stick to these recommendations, or even treat them like law and send their kids to the appropriate school. Ever since this country had been shat up by migrants everyone just sends their kids to gymnasiums though in an effort to escape the underclass swamp.The result is that Hauptschule has become a place for literal retards, Realschule is for the underclass and gymnasium is for everyone with parents who want to upgrade their social standing.Crimes like this used to be exclusive to the Hauptschule but since everyone can send their retarded mutt child to gymnasiums if they wish to these types of crimes are now everywhere.Smart germans now send their kids to private schools or alternative school systems like Waldorf.
