Boomers have some of the strangest social and lifestyle priorities I have ever seen, I don't think anything tops it. They don't give a shit about anything except the most banal shit imaginable.I think it's because their lives were so easy and their success such a foregone conclusion that they never really did have to worry about anything. You could sell shoes for a living and afford a nice house. Most of the women weren't blown-out whores. They didn't have a war to fight and the one that did happen most of them tried to avoid then retroactively claim they supported all along. Society still had tons of third spaces and the country was 85%+ White with lower tolerance for nigger shenanigans so most things were still safe and accessible.Boomers will literally whine and cry about the most absolute dumb shit imaginable: their grass. Their patios. Their bingo games. They've had all this wealth, leisure, political representation and success and they literally don't give a shit about anything. They're just boring and they literally hate anyone with any interests outside of what you can find on Cable TV.What causes this? Any similar observations?
I feel like a lot of you have very troubled relationships with your parents.

It was seen as a great advancement and luxury and institutional trust was really high after WW2 so people didn't feel the need to question authorities like we do now and how later generations did.They had TV and radio as well and the idea these things were lies or run by self-interested people was just beyond their comprehension. They were born into extraordinarily high-trust, homogenous, close-knit societies.I say all that to say since they were the last people to truly benefit from the status quo and everything in terms of information was just dictated to them they felt like there was no impetus to self-educate, there was no reason to. No need to practice or establish culture because there's was just whatever was on TV or the radio.It was later generations who instinctively knew something was wrong and so started questioning things, turning to alternative or older sources of information because the system wasn't working and we wanted to know why or if there was a better way.
